The C40 and the XC40 are not that big inside so I think they are getting some competition from the new EX30.
If the Volvo has about similar spec's as the Smart#1 then everything is oke.

Safety is good for the Smart#1, so easy for Volvo to get it even better

The gear shifter is on the place of the wiperswitch
And the wiperswitch went to the left blinkerswitch as well.
They saved a lot of wire's and other stuff this way.
But this will be the new standard I think, the gear selector on the right side of the steeringwheel
