Boy I hope it doesn't look anything like that rendering... Frankly the C40 and XC40 are big and bulky enough. Would be nice to have an actual smaller car/wagon/hatch EV from Volvo. I was hoping for 2 doors as well, though I expected that to be too much to ask for.

Wonder if subscription will be any good? This is coming to the US? I'm looking at an XC40 but the price is a bit high with no tax incentives, etc.

Any chance this gets advanced safety features like the EX90?
EX30 was confirmed for the US. Subscriptions are currently sitting pretty high just like traditional leasing, but I'm sure it will balance out at some point.

As for the 40s being small inside, I don't think they are at all. Maybe the C40 rear height, but otherwise, very large for the segment. I prefer a small car myself, I know that's very unAmerican of me.

I'm really hoping this at least gets a range option near or over 220 miles. Especially since they announced better range on the xc/c40. I've been using a second gen leaf for the last few years along with the V60 so I'm hoping I can upgrade from the Leaf if the price is better than the xc40 recharge here in the states.
Well and they're doing a single motor XC40 as well that should bring the entry cost point down too.

Size is absolutely part of safety. The 5 start ratings are not against all vehicles... it's for other vehicles in the same class. You wouldn't want to drive a EX30 into an EX90.

My last new car was a Ford Fiesta. And I'm 6' and 280#... so not small. I don't look 280... but it might look like I enjoy a few beers, which would be correct. I just like the driving dynamics of small cars. I like wagons too of course, and think they make sense for a family car, but I own 10 cars... so I'm very much of the mindset of cars that are good at something rather than well rounded. A car to drive to work and back should be small and fun to drive for my liking. I drove a C40 from PA down to New Bern NC and never once felt cramped... and I drove that Fiesta out to central Wisconsin and was quite fine as well.

Pretty strange that they present to the public a car that is going to be delivered after one year and a half and that for another one almost four months before we don't even have a picture. I hope they stop the hard drugs soon in Sweden.
Guess you weren't a Ford Bronco fan.... I started selling Fords in 2013 and customers were already asking about the Bronco... the Bronco didn't come out until 2021.
