21.5-22.8 lbs across all four. So, not a huge difference.
Not horrible. Around the weight of some of the lighter factory 17s. I’d personally go for one of the top two. I’ve never been a fan of how aftermarket wheels look on these cars generally - there’s some really ugly stuff out there. Those seem decent though, provided they look as good in person.

I’d still personally continue the hunt for some more affordable factory wheels, but that’s just me - if you like a set of those and can’t find any good factory stuff, go for it. There’s something to be said of the money you’d be saving on mount+balance through Tire Rack if buying a wheel/tire combo too

The top two are Propus-like. That's where I'm leaning.

Factory wheels are proving to be difficult. Would love a set of Talos. But, hard to find, let alone in decent shape. Not much selection in local yards. Too many places online want $100+ for a wheel that needs to be refinished. That's getting beyond my budget.

Got the doors out of the truck and into the garage. Unfortunately, noticed the RR door has a slight crease running along the top curve, about 10-12". Just enough to feel. I saw the scratch when I picked it up. But, the scratch was very light. Did, not the crease on a cloudy day. Noticeable in full sunlight at the correct angle. Might be PDR correctable. Probably won't drive me as crazy as the mismatched paint and rusting seams on the current door.

New summer wheels installed today. Voxx Masi 17x7.5. Definitely widens the stance a bit when paired with the 235/55R17 tires. A bit dirty from the drive home in the rain.

Looks good. Would be sweet if you could make a set of Volvo center caps fit
The bores are huge. Maybe cutting the tabs off the Volvo center caps and gluing them on might work? Good idea to ponder!

Feeling sportier today! Now the real rest for the refinished sport wheel begins!

Might try to get the airbag recall done next week while I'm out of town and Volvo dealer is closer.

Starting to explore the XC's handling envelope. Still getting used to the higher CG and softer suspension. It hangs in there pretty well. Of course, the rear suspension still needs a refresh and the bigger sway bar installed.

Missed a major accident today. Heading west and another west-bound car was in the center lane making a left-hand turn. Just as I passed by, there was a loud boom. I thought a tire had blown. Looked in the mirror and I see car parts and dirt flying. The turning car was heading east off the road and there was a white Acura sedan in the ditch pointing out. Ten seconds later and it would have happened right in front of me.

Once you get used to it being soft (and especially with matched sway bars) the XC70 hauls a** in the corners. 50 mph posted twisty back roads are quite fun!

Having a bit of torque to the rear wheels changes the dynamics vs FWD.

Swapped the doors on the passenger side today. Not too bad of a job. Back door went in easy. Fit is good, although the latch plate needs to move in just a bit to get the rear surface flush with the quarter panel.

Went to install the front door and there weren't any hinges on the new door. WTF? So, instead of removing the single hinge to body bolt, they removed the two hinge to door bolts. Now, the factory alignment is off as the door side of the hinge is where much of the adjustment is. Great. So, tried center the bolts in the hinge as best I could. Installed the front door. No interference issues, but the alignment is off. Top right corner needs to go forward and the bottom right corner needs to go towards the rear. The front edge needs to go in slightly.

I'm not a door adjustment expert. Too many degrees of freedom to play with. Looks like the hinge bolts adjust the front of the door up/down and in/out. The hinge shims move the door front/back. If all else fails, I can take it to a body shop to get it aligned.

Color match isn't as good as I had hoped for. The paint is lighter than the old doors, but still darker than the fender.

Everything works on the doors, except the the front woofer is dead and front lock is a bit balky at times. So, need to look at that when I swap the door panels.

Finished the door swap today. Swapped out the door latch from the old door to the new door. The front door locks/unlocks with any issues. Not hard to do once you accept the fact that you need to drill the rivet out of the window track to get everything out. Maybe 45min to remove two and install one.

Replaced the front door speaker with one from my stash. The speaker from the old door had signs of lots of water getting on it. That usually kills them off at some point. So, why risk it.

Gave the inside of the doors a extra coating of cavity wax. Removed the window seals and cleaned out all the dirt.

Polished and waxed both doors.

The only remaining issue are the door alignment and the auto up function retreats when the window is at the top. Ran the calibration procedure. Didn't fix it.

A picture of the finished product.

Both doors match. But, neither matches the fender (both OEM) or the quarter panel (resprayed). But, no more rusty seams on the rear door.

Got the AC checked today. Everything was fine. So, might be related to the DMM issues.

Daughter and I worked the door alignments. Started in the back. Got the rear door aligned. Of course, now the front is out. Got a reasonable medium. Front edge in a bit, rear out a bit. Latch pops a little bit when you open it, but closes easily. Probably need to adjust the hinges to get rear lined up, then adjust the fender to get the front edge right. But, that requires removing fender liners (rivets, yuck).

Put the bumper cover back on in the dark.

Cleaned half of the picked seat bottom. Not filthy, but cleans up well.

Did a little spring cleaning prior to Carlisle. Underhood cleaning, quick wash, spray-n-wipe wax, vacuum and cleaned interior, and put in the summer floor mats. Moved into the garage and slathered the seats with leather conditioner. Let it sit overnight.

Wife informs me at 8:30pm that the XC has a CEL on. Great. No OBD scanner to be found. WTF. Do it the hard way - VIDA. Some sort of small evap leak. Tripped in the last 4 operating cycles. Wonderful. Maybe I'll give the gas cap a couple extra clicks.

Maxxed out on car issues right now - daughter's Mazda needs a replacement transmission @ 236k miles. V70 is puking oil out of the right axle seal. Now, this. At least it's still functional.

Removed and replaced the gas cap and gave it 3-4 clicks. So far, so good.

Likely the leak detection pump, but it is not a big deal.

The P0456 has popped up 3 times over the past 3 weeks. I'll try a new cap before looking elsewhere.
