Hey all - I've been having what I thought was the driver's door connector short/broken wire symptoms. Every time I would go over a bump I would lose the driver's door speakers and they were obviously shorting out with a low hum/whine that matched the vehicle's RPMS. This finally became obnoxious enough that I removed the door over the weekend, and pulled the harness into the car through the driver's side kick panel, by removing the bolt in the hood release. I found a few wires that looked like they were fatiguing at the pins, and after some poking and prodding, I decided to cut the connector free, and headed to the dealer to buy the repair pigtails. It wasn't until I was soldering them back together that I realized there are 4 sets of white/green stripe wires. I'm not sure I got them back together in the right order. Next up, I got everything mocked up, and I plugged it in, and now I have ZERO communications with the driver door module (DMM). Aka no door locks, no mirror controls, no window controls. Okay, that's janky, I must have mixed something up. Finally, I took powered the car on, and put some tunes through the speakers, and everything is working great! Until I push on the loom from the body side, and then the speakers cut out again. I've continuity tested the connections, so I don't think it's any of my new wire connections, but now I'm wondering if I attacked the problem from the wrong side, and perhaps it actually is INSIDE the door, contrary to most others. I'm about to tear the door card off and start poking around the other side of the connector, but I'm super frustrated with this project, as I seem to have made things WORSE!
I thought perhaps the DMM might just need to be reinitiated, so I hooked up VIDA/Vdash, but the DMM isn't even visible in Vida.

Tried to fix shorting door wire problem
Cut the harness on the body side, and added longer pigtails, now DMM in driver's door is nonresponsive.
Speakers still short and the problem seems to be on the door side of the connector after all that
Help?
I thought perhaps the DMM might just need to be reinitiated, so I hooked up VIDA/Vdash, but the DMM isn't even visible in Vida.
