Calibration after throttle body cleaning

At 178k miles, I'm a bit ashamed to say the XC90 had its first throttle body cleaning. I know vida has a way to initiate a calibration, but I don't have vida. Is there another way, or will it self adapt?

Why? Did you change the throttle body with a different one?

What is your maintenance history? Your PCV history? Why would it need to be re-calibrated again if the TPS, built into the TB assembly, has not changed? There are still running adaptations and your baseline hardware remains the same.

Your case may be different. Mine wasn't bad at 167k miles and I was able to clean it with some brake cleaner and wiping off the build-up.

I think what I wrote before wasn't clear. What I was saying in my first sentence was that at some mileage interval throttle body cleaning is still prudent, even if the 3.2 isn't as bad as the turbo in this regard -- not calibration: maybe as you stated nothing is needed.

Regarding your question, original PCV components -- no maintenance performed yet and no symptoms of it needing it yet.

Here's a post from someone who did a TB cleaning on a 3.2 (XC60), no calibration-

This is one in-vehicle calibration that I know works with the 5 and 6 cylinders (heard it on my 5) but I'm not sure I've heard anything on the V8s when I've tried it (Denso like the 3.2)-

edit- Denso like the 3.2
