Well, almost a year after noticing my drivers side rearview mirror starting to jiggle and having to glue it back on, the passenger side caught up.

Fortunately I also caught this one before it fell off on its own. Only took a little tug to make the remaining adhesive at the bottom of the mirror to let go.

Now I just have to wait for the weather to get better before putting her back on. Never realize how much you use the right mirror till you see black there instead, lol.

When I lost my right side mirror in the dead of winter, I actually ended up getting a sore neck from having to turn to look so frequently. It's amazing how much that mirror gets checked. Definitely better to wait for things to warm up (or thaw out, based on your picture) than to stick it on now and have the adhesive fail.

I love backing into parking spots so I'm really missing it till its back on there, lol.
I remember when that happened to me... Heard a noise leaving a parking lot, didn't think anything of it, go to look in the pax mirror and its AWOL...

Fortunately I was saved by reading all the lost mirror stories here on SS.

Once my mirror images started jiggling I knew what was up so I could prevent my own loss.

Well, the mystery of why I could start hearing a little turbo whine has been solved.

The weld between the turbo pipe and the flex joint has appeared to cracked around about half way around.

Doesn't appear to be leaking out any exhaust, so I assume the partial weld break is allowing the flex joint to resonate at high frequencies and acting like a soundboard to my turbo.

Since it sounds cool and isn't letting any exhaust into the cabin I'll just leave her as is. Also glad to see its not anything wrong with the turbo either.

Hey. Ever consider going corn for another power bump? U have any good sources for it down south?

No, not any stations where I'm at and I do a lot of cross country traveling, so no interest in e85.

Also, since I'm currently maxing out the K24 and stock injectors, I wouldn't be able to take advantage of corn squeezins for any extra power without some serious upgrades either.

I do miss 93 octane at the pump since we only have 91 here, so between that and the elevation I'm about 8% down on power compared to what I get when I'm visiting FL and other low-altitude, high octane states.

Injectors are required for it. Inherently id think it would still be better power wise. But yea man ur on the road crazy in that thing. No sense in getting Viper mileage haha

Thanks guys, it was a fun drive out there on the backroads through some beautiful country.

Its rather unfortunate that the road that spirals up and around the volcano is very narrow and treacherous since it would have been a more fun run up and down otherwise, lol.

Hi Tony, can you tell me more about the use of the camera inside the cylinder. Did you have to use the mirror attachment? If yes how secure it is (I'm afraid it can get dropped inside)? How much of the cylinder wall especially at the top could you see? Any tricks to use for better images? And can you remind me what cylinders are the most prone to cracking in our engines?

I'm loosing coolant at alarming rates and there is no leak to be seen. I have a new radiator and new plumbing but also a lot bigger turbo. I'm afraid that some of the fluid is getting in the cylinder.

Thanks!

I used the mirror attachment to view the upper cylinder bore. Mine screws on so no chance of it falling off when in use. May not have the resolution to see a small crack, but I think it would have been able to see my big one.
