Anyone know the demographics on who buys this car? I see more women driving it where I live.

I have seen a probably pretty even spread...only difference is I seem to see more guys in R-Designs. I Drive a 3.2 and when I see those it tends to be women...ahh if money was no object I might have the cosmic white RDesign I saw yesterday.

agreed...who cares if more women drive it. if you want it to look butch def get the R-design and ride around with roof racks on it. To me is not a car that screams one sex or another. If anything the FX seems more feminine for all its curvaciousness. But then I think the FX is and overly styled premium gas guzzler. I like the understated design of the xc60 in that it doesnt scream "I threw in the extra money for all the chrome shiney bits". Also I think an xc60 would be sportier, as the FX is basically huge...the EX is probably more similar in size but way less practical than the XC60. JMHO

I don't think it is a chick car. I have seen more women driving it for sure, but I have seen plenty of men driving it too. Ours is my wife's daily driver but I never hesitate to take the keys from her when we both go somewhere together. It's a lot more fun to drive than my Tahoe :)

I honestly never see other women driving XC60s, especially not R-Designs. I say, find what fits your needs and go with it. I see far more women driving the FX35 than I do the XC60.

We (my wife and I) compromised, she really wanted an Xc60 after she crawled all over a 3.2 brown one with beige interior. I too like the car and the compromise was simple...

we now have a passion red R-design with 20" wheels on order....secretly my wife probably got her way in the end. The arguments over who will drive are sure to come.
