Stop Forum Spam ASN report for 8473

www.stopforumspam.com

volvodiag.com is not happy with too many different IP addresses on Bahnhof, so it is now blocking the whole network by its ASN number 8473.
Or volvodiag.com is using a blocklist where Bahnhof has earned its place by other previous abuse or spam.

But I dont send any spam, perhaps you can open it just a coupler of dags?

VIDA is working correctly inside your virtual machine; I can login and view schematics just fine. Thanks for providing this the virtual machine options, works great!

I do seem to have some trouble getting my DICE to work. It is a far-east dice (aliexpress . com/item/1943112318.html).
When I plugged the DICE into the car, ignition in position two, the firmware LEDs are blinking as was the bluetooth LED. The vehcile interface LED was not blinking though. Will this only blink if the correct USB drivers are installed?

I extracted the drivers from the guest machine and installed them on the host. The USB led blinked briefly when I did this, then went out completely as did the bluetooth LED.

In device manager in the guest and the host, DICE is not showing. VIDA also does not recognize this. What do I do now?

I'm stuck getting my dice to connect.

I have VMware running for my job, so I added Service Machine R2, which installed and runs.

I get the first flashing green light on my Dice, but no USB light. The VIDA icon on my tray is green.

I can run Hilton Tuning Suite and see my model year and VIN, so I think my Dice works.

When I click on Vida All-In-One I get HTTP status 404.

I am running Windows 7 Professional and IE V11.

I also tried running on Chrome with no luck, it says 'This page can't be displayed'.

I preconfigured my USB to 3.0.

Not sure what's wrong now...I'm so close. How do I get the USB light to turn on so I can connect?

The first two lines sound like a contradiction.
I had VIDA running on a Win-7 laptop just fine, and then Windows updated IE to 11. It quit working. I reverted to !E-9 as is required, and it resumed working. Others have reported success with IE-11.

Short Instructions:
Download VirtualBox, install and then run it.
Create a Virtual Machine (Windows 10 32bit), use the downloaded file as your virtual harddisk.
Give the VM enough memory and video memory.
Connect your dice to your PC/laptop and add it to the VM's USB devices
Run the VM, use the credentials as mentioned in de opening post from this thread, enjoy!

It's irrelevent and outdated. Go to volvodiag.com to download the latest. Note that VPN AND VPS servers are blocked as well as certain networks with HEAVY malicious activities.

The ASN your IP address is registered to is blocked to to heavy malicious activity including a DDoS attack a few months ago, after looking at the company site listed to the ASN, it appears to be a business/commercial/cloud relation not home internet provider so I've NOT unblocked it. Data-centres, cloud, VPS and VPN providers, as well as networks with HEAVY malicious activities are blocked. I go through the logs and firewall activity weekly and any home internet service providers ASN blocked I WILL UNBLOCK but not commercial/business ASN.

Just to give an idea of why I block these networks besides the security concerns, since blocking the networks malicious people (script kiddies) use to attack servers, volvodiag.com has dropped from 16TB bandwidth a month to 13TB. That's 3TB a month of malicious activities a month.

FYI. I'm working on a portal that you can visit to submit your home IP address for bypass from the firewall filtering. You're IP will be investigated to insure it's not a VPN or VPS and if passed, unblock your IP. In the mean time, email unblock@volvodiag.com with your IP. I'll check in to it.

I only use funds from my part time job of like 3-4 hours a week and with Covid I could use more funds for the site. Makes me question where the world is going! You provide a service that is obviously appreciated (just look at all the sites that copy your words verbatim!) and yet no one is willing to pay for it!

Just one SUM calibration will save you north of $100.00. Yet you can not send anything for the software!

Just to give an idea of why I work a small part time job to cover the site, the internet connection alone is 100$ a month, plus the cost of the hardware I purchase to run it and keep it secure. I had the internet on a 250$ a month plan but couldn't afford that. I don't expect people to throw some large amount at the site funds, but if 25% of the people that download had donated 5$, that could pay for the internet for 2 years. I don't know or get how swedespeed can afford to run, it has to be costing them a fortune. I doubt the ad revenue is that profitable. I won't put ads on the site even if it was. So many people run ad blockers these days it won't do any good.
