I use walmart everstarts, not because I know any better but because "project farms" , a guy I respect, tested those as being the all around best bang for the buck...

Interstate are good. If you have a costco membership I would do that. Everstart is a good option as well. Persoanlly, I would by the least expensive AGM battery from Costco/Walmart or the auto part stores. Generally the auto stores are more, but sometimes they are running 20% off type deals.

 

I go either Everstart (Walmart, cheap and good for the money) or Interstate (higher priced but good quality). I've had nothing but problems with parts store batteries - I work at one of the major chains and you'd be shocked how many basically new batteries people come back with that are defective.

 

There are only a few companies that make these batteries. The big one being Johnson Controls/Clarios. I would be more concerned with the free replacement and prorated warranty. Clarios makes Interstate, Champion, Walmart, Optima etc. I'm not saying they manufacturer all to the same specs but they are all going to be decent.

Everstart AGM? The Everstart AGM Group H6 is $180. AGM batteries are nicer and will last longer compared to flooded lead acid.

 

Costco! The warranty alone is worth it. These cars eat batteries. If it dies, bring it back and get a new one. End of story.

 

Yes, I mentioned costco earlier. That is a very good option...if you have a membership. Not everyone does.
