I have done lots of research, i'm scared to think I will need a new drive shaft... here is a video of whats going on.

this is on a 06' volvo s60r with 170k miles 6 speed manual trans. We just bought the car and I know that it needs new strut mounts but recently I've been hearing a rattling noise when I'm driving at slow speeds, i can be in neutral and hear it at times too... so i'm confused where the noise is actually coming from.

Also, no vibration going on at any speeds, just the noise.

I checked all the heat shields and they are fine, I started to move the drive shaft and this is the similar noise to what i'm hearing.

The thing that you need to look for to check out the CV joint is play. Grab the joint body with one hand and the shaft with the other. Twist them oppositely and look for rotation between the two. If they can move separately, then the joint is shot. It sounds kinda like excessive gear lash. You may want to check your diff and haldex fluid levels.Look for signs of leakage too.

Some gear lash is very normal. If there's no movement in the drive shaft, that means that's okay. I'd look for leakage and check for plenty o' oil in the haldex and the diff.

Also wiggle your exhaust and see if it can hit anything and cause a rattle.

I have the same type of low speed rattle and my driveshaft has almost the exact same play.
Are you referring to the play in the driveshaft as gear lash? And how would adding oil to the haldex or diff help this? Isn't that play in the driveshaft just because its worn and isn't mechanically connected as solid as it used to be?

I have wiggled my exhaust and it doesn't hit anything, the only thing I can think of that makes this noise is my drive shaft. So, my question is, is there anyway to get rid of this noise? Will adding the fluid actually help? Thank you for your quick replies.
