My 2016 T6 Inscription has started losing it’s position on the sat nav, randomly jumping to a nearby street or suburb and trying to align its travel with streets that it is not on. Switching the car off and on doesn’t fix it, I have tried locking and walking away, but that doesn’t help either. Eventually it will come good.

Has anyone else had this issue, thoughts on cause? I had the maps update by the dealer last week and it happened again yesterday.

Are the date and time accurate and set to automatic?

I had the same issue twice. The first time it fixed itself after several on and off’s. The second time I took it in and the dealer just updated the maps, at a charge of course. They said the maps have to be updated or you run Into this issue. Sounds fishy and I have done my own updates via a usb from volvo we’d site for map updates. Try that first and if no luck, head for the dealer who may charge you.

Thanks. The dealer updated the maps a few weeks back and it is still happening. That’s why I posted here…

Did you ever get this fixed? My 2016 just started doing the same and didn't fix itself after a USB maps update. I have an appointment with the dealer next week for a full system update at $230.00....

[edit]
After short research... it seems for newer Volvos than mine...
Yes, looks that battery was changed after 2016.
