Check the pcv. That's a really rare car with that body kit.

If the PCV seems clean are there any other concerns with low mileage on the 2.5T engines?

Shouldn't be they're very strong engines

Okay, thanks. I'll follow up on it. Hmm... This S60 AWD with 40K miles for 10,500 http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/5480598636.html or this S60R with 129K miles for 7,500 http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/cto/5499509419.html ... Probably can go lower on both. An R does sound nice but honestly it's mostly going to be my wife's car probably and she doesn't need 300 HP. If the S60 AWD with lower miles is in much better condition and I don't need to worry about the 4C suspension and possible valve body replacement as I do with the R it could be worth it.

With miles this low (40K on a 2006 S60 AWD) should I be worried about the engine being damaged due to not getting warmed up enough?
Nice find! It is due for a timing belt change unless it is a VIN code 39 or 64 (and was sold in California). Should give you a little leverage on negotiating a lower price.

Agree with the others. If the oil was changed at least every 3-4000 miles, there should be no problems.

Whoa. Just went on his site and this looks awesome....plus I even get to dump my distributor!

True for cars other than 4.3
I've run ARD tunes on my 850 and I know plenty of others still running them. I'd run one on a P80, just not on a P2 car.

Leather's rough on the driver's bolster, that's a shame.
I have an ARD Stage 1 tune on my 2000 VR. Been a few months. I'm not a leadfoot, but not timid either. I like its behavior, no problems to report yet.

ME7 senses boost and will save your ass most of the time by pulling timing as cylinders develop knock. Me 4.4 and below can't do that because they're cap and rotor ignition while me7 is coil on plug.

Much the same as it would if you had substandard fuel... My SAAB's had APC and Direct Ignition, and were earlier to the game on this.

The really cool part is Beust can convert 4.4 to coil on plug. He figured out that 960s use the same ecu and COP so he integrates it completely factory. Same code even, edited for 5 cylinders.

Here's one someone should go look at, I'd jump on it except I'm halfway across the country.

Saffron V70R with blown HG, $1200, Olympia WA.

The guy said just come and take it for $800 on Friday... That's a good deal since the interior and exterior are in such great shape!! I'm only an hour a way, but it's going to be hard to get there, maybe Wednesday I can go, and I can't drive it an hour home, good thing my sister lives 10 minutes from the car.

What is special about those VIN codes and California that they wouldn't need a belt?

To answer myself, I found the documentation that those engines are on a 15 year / 150,000 mile service schedule instead of 10 year / 120,000 mile schedule like the others. Still not sure what makes them actually different though.

If I remember correctly, this is 1 of 400 where for one year the V8 and R-Design overlapped:

2009 Volvo XC90 V8 R-Design - 88,446 - $17,741

I've seen one of these in person, and they are nice. The one I saw was passion red. Hard to miss, and I'm sure the original sticker was gigantic. The pictures are a telling for this one. It seems well-loved in 88K. I'm glad sometimes when a dealer gets something in and hasn't paid full attention to it, so I can tell how well the owner took care of it. Cleanliness is not always an indicator of good maintenance, but can be. -IPD
