I used a spay filler, then sanded it 'smooth' then put on the color in 5 layers or so, and then another 3 or 4 layers of clearcoat.
It's not as smooth as the body, you still see that it's a plastic trim but I'm pretty happy with it. I think if you put more time in it (I did it all in 2 days) the result will be better.
Especially the sanding part is important. Luckily I have the bottom part of the bumper to practice on now before I do the doors :)

wow sweet. i was wondering when i got a dealer loaner if any of the new steering wheels would fit, seemed very similarly shaped. good to know.

Looks great ss60! Glad to hear you're noticing an increase in braking too.

Also looking good TeaFive! Did your order the BSR kit direct from Sweden?
Umm I've ever had any BSR equipment on my car. Perhaps confused with another car somewhere on the thread?

I think he was asking TeaFive if he ordered the BSR kit direct from Sweden. Not you lol

Woot, trans finally smoother!

Finally got some time to do the retrain after the solenoid swap. Still not perfect, but so much smoother. Apparently I got a bum solenoid last year when I had the valve body rebuilt, no wonder it didn't improve on the first try, lol. Props to Pat at Levl Ten for warrantying the repair. Hoping it'll smooth out further as the week goes on.

Car seems much happier, poor girl was stuck in the garage for a almost a year.

Glad to hear it! Yeah I'd think it should get better as it continues to adapt.

Not today, but yesterday at night. Kind of the same haha

I tuned the "secret" eq on my HU-803 and got it better. If you seat on the rear with Pro Logic activated it's a mess, you mostly hear bass, but on the front it's nice. Just need to fine tune it when I have better quality music than my FM transmitter

Finally got around to the next round on the motor, finished painting the yellow, stripped most of the paint off of the carbon fiber strut brace to show it's sexiness off, and wrapped the OTE pipe to hopefully keep a little heat soak out (until I have time and need to upgrade all of the piping). Overall, definitely improved the look under the hood

(Now it matches my gauge cluster & rear license plate frame perfectly)

Hey, bought my Double Din Head Unit Mount from iPD USA and i am happy with the all around build quality and fitment in the dash. My problem with it is that there is a gap all around the head unit and it was way too tight to fit it in the mount so i had to shave down the sides a little bit. Anyone else have this same faceplate and know what to do?
I had the same problem with mine. I shaved down the inside to fit the cradle. Here is how it looked before the trim piece. Also this is my first post ever haha

I envy you manual guys D :
I can't get a manual here. Looks better than the aluminum shifter, although I like that too.

Also, nice gauge shroud! Wouldn't trade my centre speaker but it looks great.

Painted the trim on the front of the car, the rest will follow in a couple months.... Maybe with a front and rear spoiler....

Interesting. I actually like the plastic trim on my S60, but I think I'll be painting the upper trim and leaving the lower plastic unpainted like yours. Somehow, I feel the car looks lower. When the lower trim is color matched like on newer S60s it looks too tall.

I will probably buy one at some point just to be sure I have it, in case I ever need to replace my HU-803 if it fails.
Yours looks awesome, fit looks good. I don't think you have to do anything else

Sweet. It's a subtle way to clean up the engine bay, and for me it ties the rest of the details together. Otherwise, staying a white and black car

I messed with it a little and got a slightly better fitment but am a little ocd about wanting a seem-less gap. Your's looks, good any pictures with the trim in place?
