After 3 previous XC90 D5, I decided to go for a hybrid T8. Most of my drives are short distance around, so pure electric engine seemed tempting. Plus some change, of course.
I was actually considering even other cars, I went to look at Range Rover, Mercedes and Audi SUVs but in the end none of the had such a big cargo space etc.
I will keep continuing the sharing.
Now the first impressions:
1) it is definitely more quiet than D5 - I love the feeling when starting the car and there is no sound
2) The drive is quite smooth. I have yet to charge it fully to enjoy longer pure electric drive
3) Although it has air suspension, even small holes on the road are still felt quite hard, pity that Volvo did not make some step closer to Audi or Rang Rover ...
4) Google maps are interesting, let us see if overall better than the previous Volvo navigation
5) those remaining ranges (petrol and battery) seem to be rather flowing fairy tales ... 20 km remaining on batter and in 500 m 15 km, 1200 km remaining on petrol but in 3 km 800 km etc
to be continued...
