2016 XC90 T6, bought it in 03/2016. Does anyone know when the battery should be replaced? I have not noticed any problem yet, just thinking it's about time?

Depends on a lot of factors including climate, driving habits, and which battery you're talking about. There are two: the main battery and the support battery. I had both replaced in our 2017 XC90 after 3.5 years/68k miles, albeit preemptively. My battery on my last car went 2.5 years/70k miles and I was stranded on top of a mountain when it went dead. So my personal experience is around 3 years in a harsh climate and/or 70k miles.

Volvo uses a pretty good battery. I'm always surprised how rare it is that I need to jump start a car. Generally it's just if they are in the showroom too long. Other brands we kept a jump box by the front door. Here I haven't used it perhaps at all this year.

My 16 XC90 since 1/16, both batteries and stop/start are working perfect, although I disable this function 95% of the time. I think battery health check is part of the annual/ every 10K services(multi-point check list?) if your car is serviced at the dealer. You can also go to an auto store like Advanced Auto Parts ask to check the battery for free.
