Greetings all, just sold my black 2006 XC90 V8 and picked up a 2007 V8 Sport R-Design in Passion Red. It's quite a looker! The car has an aux jack in the cupholder, but when I use it the audio system buzzes a lot. If I jiggle the cable, the sound is clear until the cable moves again. I've tried two cables so I'm pretty sure the jack is bad. It's in a dumb location, between two cupholders where coffee and other liquids can easily enter the jack hole. I was thinking to hit it with a shot of electronic cleaner. My question is whether anyone else has had this problem? Also, does the jack plug into the back of the head unit? I can bypass it if so.

Appreciate your help! I'll post pictures soon. Just put Pegs on my minty 97 960 Wagon. Had Calisto's on it before. It looks seriously right now!

Remove the center console, splice in a AUX line and 3.5mm jack under the console, run the wire out under the console to the location of your choice.
I plugged a rechargeable matchbox sized bluetooth receiver in the 3.5mm mini jack and forgo any direction connections because of its know fragility.

I've replaced the Aux Jack before and it's not a bad job. I'm much happier with this though Bluetooth adapter- taps into CD changer.

It disables the CD changer and gives you an audio bluetooth interface instead. So the steering wheel buttons will change tracks or answer phone calls, and the screen displays some song information transmitted from your phone. Good audio quality too. Install wasn't bad and the dashboard still looks stock.
