Hello, new to the forum. I've been browsing for a couple months now since I bought my D5 AWD 2013 XC60 176,000 km
When I bought my used car I changed all the fluids as is standard when purchasing a used car. While doing the Haldex gen 5 service I found the pump to be extremely gunked up around the filter so I cleaned it thoroughly and re-filled the Haldex with the original OEM oil, primed the pump with VIDA and reset the DEM adaptation. I had noticed that the rear wheels were not engaging after I bought the car, but after this service everything began working again. The only problem I have now is that Temperature sensor 1 and 2 under the DEM section in VIDA are giving odd readings. The first sensor usually hovers around 4C - 11C (with ambient being around -14C - 10C and occasionally moves slowly up or down in 1C increments over long drives while the second sensor reads 0C all the time. The Haldex unit seems to work well now and AOC and DEM status in VIDA are good with no errors showing after several thousand kms, but I am wondering if my temperature sensors giving faulty readings can be somehow fixed? The DEM unit seems to sensitive and I would speculate that faulty temperature sensor data could cause it to pre-maturely fail. I know with the old GEN 4 units one could open up the DEM and change out the 40 or 80 bar temp sensor, but I am finding close to nothing on the new GEN 5 Haldex units. Are the new temperature sensors in the pump? Is it integrated into the DEM unit and the DEM unit needs to be changed in order to fix it? Can one simply just buy a temp sensor and fix it like the old units? I am having a hard time finding anything about this on the GEN 5 Haldex units.
I've attached a screen cap of the temperature sensor readings in VIDA please ignore "the coupling inactive or failure". This screen cap was before I did the DEM adaptation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Other than this oddity I am very happy with my XC60 thus far
Thanks!
