I am going to say no b/c my 17' rims barely clear the 320 mm set up. I also read somewhere on here that the upgrade kit from viva is a little bit bigger even then the stock setup of 320mm. I dont know this as gospel but my car def. could not have 16in rims on it.

 

There will be fitment issues.

My 06' AWD V50 came with stock 16" Clava wheels and 320mm brakes.

I have the "Caligo" 16" wheel, the specs on volvo's accessory site look the same. Maybe there is hope after all

 

It may work, though I have strong reservation it will, but I doubt it would be great for the venting aspect of your rotors anyway, just a thought...

 

I ran 16" Volvo steelies when I first got my car. It's a really tight fit, but it fits.

You're good. Clavas work, TIGHT fit, you'll be surprised it actually fits but once you get them in you'll love the difference. Switch out the fluid and move to stainless lines; well worth it.

Sorry to revive this thread back... I just bought 320mm rotors and new calipers for my 2007 t5 AWD... but clavas look like one inch with (stock one not 320) so, errr looks like that DSot's rotor isnt 320 but prolly 302?

I have all my brake parts but haven't put them on yet, I also bought new wheels to go with everything. As soon as I get the brakes put on I'll be taking some pictures

 

I can vouch for the 320mm fronts fitting with 16" Clavas, but I don't know if any other factory 16"s fit bro.

 

I have 320's with Clavas also, TIGHT fit as mentioned above, cant speak for any other stock 16's

 

I agree with Isaac

There are Brake Caliper Templates - one can get on line to compare , and make one out of Car-broad to Test Fit .

Rotor has more then 1" per side and the Caliper has 3/4 inch on the Clavas Wheels .

Any Interference - would come from the Back side of the Spokes on the Mags You just Purchased . ( Send Up a Photo )
Pretty much would tell looking at them .

 

I haven't posted here much, but usually lurk around and read up on things. I do have a question though, is there an easy way to upgrade from the 300mm to the 320mm rotors? I would imagine different calipers or at least mounts would be needed, but I'm not sure. If this has been answered elsewhere, sorry for hijacking the thread and please point me to the correct thread.

If You Post for a for a Set someone Looking to Go to $1800.00 Alloy's might have a good used Set for You .

The Other Method would be to just Buy the Parts outright / @ / One of Our Parts Vendors . ( It is simple Bolt Up ) Plug and Play Swap !

 

I have a whole 320mm kit for much less than that if anyone is interested, had 17in wheels as stock for the AWD, big kit, but I stopped by EST to try theirs..

Yup, minus brake fluid, with EBC zinc coated 320mm dimpled slotted rotors, HP-S pads, SS brake lines, 320mm Volvo Calipers

And no... just here to work for a bit, but that would be Canadian!

But I want to share this info to anybody looking to upgrade to 320mm brakes with 16" wheels.

Today at the junkyard I checked and 320's will fit in 16 inch "Caligo" rims.
