Wheel Fitment From Other Volvo Models

I am looking at putting together a second set of wheels and tires to use on my S80 during the winter months, and I was wondering if I need to stick with a set of wheels which originally came off of an S80, or can I use wheels from any other Volvo models. I'd imagine the bolt pattern is the same, but I'm thinking maybe the offset is pretty different. Any thoughts?

You can use wheels off any S80 2007-up, S60 2011-13, S40/C30/V50, 2004.5-2012, V70 2010-up. The center bore are smaller than older Volvo's like say older S60/S80 models. You could make older wheels work with hub centric rings.

That's exactly the info I was looking for. Thanks!!

I ended up getting a set of wheels from a first gen S80 to use for the winter. I also ordered a set of hub rings to adapt them to work on my car without vibration. I think these are fairly rare wheels as I don't believe I've ever actually seen them before. I just know they came from an 05 S80.

To add some info to this thread......
Today I bolted a wheel from my '01 S602.4T to the front of my S80 3.2.
The wheel is one of my summer wheels and is an S60R replica in 16 inch.
I measured the hubcentric diameter first.and found it to be identical.
The rim has a 205-55-16 tire on it and was close enough to the OEM 3.2 in diameter.

However the clearance to the caliper was about 1/8 inch and if the weights are put in one area, they will interfere.
That is with the "R" wheels. I cannot yet speak for the S60 16 inch OEM wheels.

My reason for this task was to have a full-size spare available for long trips.
When setting out on a 1000 mile trip with a trailer, I don't want to have a problem 100 miles out, and have to drive slow or find an identical tire somewhere.
Of course the S60 tire does not fit in the spare wheel well.
Remember when Volvos came with two spare tire wells for snow tires?

Eventually I can report again on the fitment of the OEM S60 wheels

I can comment

I ended up not fitting these wheels, and selling them to somebody else on the forum. I discovered that 17" wheels will, in fact, fit over the V8 brakes, so I want to go that route so I don't have to pay quite as much on winter tires.

TIRE RACK is advertising a 17 INCH BLACK STEEL WHEEL with a 53mm offset that they say will fit a 2008 S80 3.2 [FOR USE AS A WINTER WHEEL] ; no it is not pretty but was thinking maybe some wheel covers might dress it up a little. Tire Rack won't sell the wheels and tires without selling me a 283.00 TPMS custom kit... Do you guys run the TPMS kits on your winter wheels.. think about just getting the wheels and getting Bridgetone BLIZZAKS from my local COSTCO or MICHELINS from NTW...

Thats an ALUMINUM- alloy wheel and NOT SIMILAR TO AN ALL STEEL WHEEL

When riding and experiencing POTHOLES AND BAD ROADS ESPECIALLY DURING WINTER WEATHER..trying to avoid paying dealer 200 to fix the 'wheel rash' on softer alloy wheels
NOT INTERESTED..
Or you could get some cruddy alloys and when when they get scraped up, it's not a big deal. It would still look a heck of a lot better than steelies. I didn't notice the 17" steelies on tire rack. They must not fit over the V8 brakes or something. I'm ended up buying a new set of Venators and am running my original set in the winter now.

Also, there's no need to yell around here. You're amongst friends. :)

Please note, not all 17" wheels for the "P3-generation" does fit on V8 models...

Look on this site (which im sure you are familiar with ;) ) and see which they list will fit V8. When you choose a 3.2 you will end up with alot more alternatives for 17", for example Canicula & Cassini.

Most S80 V8 in Sweden sports a set of Regor during winter for some reason... I will try to find a set of Balder in the autumn since I think they are more handsome.
