When you go to do it if it requires you to remove it as a unit and use a spring compressor to remove the spring its a strut. I haven't removed mine but from what I have looked at the top of the strut is the spring seat and the basket at the bottom holds the spring in place making it load bearing.

Had 4 new 235 40 18 Bridgestone Potenza re 970 a/s pole positions mounted up. Rides so much better than the piece of crap falken 412s that came on it.

However, I wonder why people in Phoenix choose all-season tires for their sports/sporty cars. A good friend of mine has Goodyear Eagle GT on his TT convertible (with quattro). When I asked him why he chose all-season tires, he simply replied that he occasionally drives north in the winter and doesn't want to be caught in an unexpected snowfall in the mountains on summer tires. So, I ask you the same question, what led you to choose all-season tires in Phoenix?

We get a lot of that up in CT... there are tons of sports cars with all seasons on them at my work: TTS, S5, M3, heck even corvettes with no-seasons. Sigh.

Because I have a house in Mayer Az which is @ 4500 ft elevation so we get snow and these tires grip just as good as any summer tire. I also have the same tires in 255 35 19 on my Typhoon and I just loved them as far as ride quality grip and road noise. The tires are just an all around technological good tire.

Went to the dealer with a 6 pack of Corona and drove away with a SUM calibration, Service light reset and a washed car :)*Interesting note. Some say that putting some weight in the tailgate during the calibration can help reduce the shock on the front. We tried that and VIDA kept saying 'Rear signal too low'. We removed the weight and all clear.Car is a little smoother now.

Today I replaced my 8 year old cup holder with a brand new OEM one, replaced my gas cap seal, changed my oil cap to an IPD one, and added new blue wheel valve stem covers. Tiny little mods, but it makes me happy.

Oh, and I also washed her, shined the tires, and cleaned the windows!

You probably had a LOT more beer than just a 6-pack;-)

I bought one.... so what I did to my R today was to go and pick it up!
JUST got it home...

^^^ Looks nice JRL! I wish my R was a wagon. I think a Passion Red/Atacama MT VR would be pretty much awesome

Nice wagon JRL! Do you plan on keeping this one for a while?

I agree, Passion Red and Atacama go great but this Passion Red with Gobi isn't too bad.

My personal color combo favs are Red/Atacama, Black/Atacama other I don't like Atacama in any other exterior color car, not sure why though but just doesn't go/flow right.

Nordkap looks good in all exterior colors personally, and I think only the Red and Black can work well with Gobi.

I still am kicking the idea of picking up a wagon.

Of course it does, Magic Blue/Atacama is a killer combo.
Gobi looks best with Titanium
P/Red/Atacama was my first R wagon, new 2004

Plus a lot of cash, sure

Is this what I think it is ?
Well, if you think it's a magic switch to open the gates of Hell, then No. It's not what you think.

My guess is it's for the subwoofer or GPS.
