Water Leaking into Passenger Compartment from Sunroof Drain

Found a small puddle on front passenger floor mat after recent rains in my 2020 XC60. Decided to test out the front sunroof drains by pouring a small amount of water through both of the front drains. The water from the driver's side exited beneath the car, but the water going through the passenger sunroof drain went straight down to the front passenger floor through openings behind the glove box.

Has anyone experienced this problem before? Could it be that the drain hose has disconnected from the front right sunroof drain hole? If so, is this an easy fix?

Going to take it to the dealer next week. Would appreciate any background on how to deal with this issue.

Yeah it’s either a blocked/clogged drain or a pinched drain hose. Definitely a known problem. You can open the sunroof and look forward toward the A pillar and can check the drain hole. You’d probably see that its blocked on the passenger side but open and clear on the driver’s side.

the hose comes down the pillar behind the dash into the bay and drains under the wipers. If you pull the pillar trim at the very bottom where the dash is the hose connects to a rubber drain tube/grommet. It probably came out of the grommet. Its a very tight fit but you can get a few fingers in there to reconnect it.
