I'm running a customized tune from Hilton. Been really happy with it.

 

I have the Polestar tune on my T6 and incredibly happy with it. I initially thought I was just going to replace the polestar tune when I purchased the car but absolutely love it.

Polestar probably wont be the meanest tune, but it runs great with the car. Not sure if the gearbox is mapped with this as well? or something as the autobox shifts very quickly which is what I was told about these autoboxes that they are quite slow to change gear. So defenitly worth looking into.

 

P* definitely optimizes the gearbox, and from what I can gather, is the only tune that does.

After driving a polestar tuned car, I want it solely for that purpose, other tunes give more HP claims, but no one can update the transmission

 

Polestar doesn’t change the TCM for the 3.0 T6, only the Drive-E T6. 👍

I had a ‘13 R-Design, and the transmission shifted like crap lol. Mushy and slow, which is a shame given the character of the engine.

 

Huh, in the P* literature they state the transmission and shifting being improved, I drove a '13 S60 R-design w/ P* and it definitely had improved transmission characteristics, but that was a single experience and I'm by no means an expert at this

 

If anyone can show me documentation that the 3.0 T6 includes TCM characteristics, I’ll entertain it. But I’ve only ever seen mention of it tweaking the TCM on the Drive-E cars:

Not sure how accurate it is to say “I have one and shifting is very quick.” Quick is a relative term, and even the dealer techs never admitted anything mushy about mine with the prolonged 1-2 upshift.

Those who think the P* cars they have are quick shifting, what have they compared them to? Lol

I've compared my XC60 T6 to my mapped 2016 Mercedes A45 on a lot more power. I've also compared it to my 410bhp S40 T5.

Now being that my XC60 T6 Polestar should be pumping around 329bhp significantly less than my other cars, I can safely say yes it shifts very very quickly and smoothly. I track my cars quite a bit as well, so yes I still stand by my comments on my car.

Obviously if yours was slow then I guess you would struggle to understand the difference.

 

My XC60 P* is amazing. Then again I am rocking my 2014 with 87K miles on it. I am still very pleased with my XC60 T6 but looking at the 2015 T6 Polestar if I can find one.
