I guess you're aware VolvoOnCall for V70 is shutting down next year?

This issue has been discussed many times. To my knowledge volvo will shut down the service for the P3 platform at the end of 2025. It's not going to be possible to renew the service for a period extending into 2026 for the P3 platform. That is what has been communicated by Volvo.

According to the information provided as late as this year, for the SPA-platform, the service will continue to be available for all cars but is limited by hardware. These cars will offer a hardware upgrade solution when the 2G/G3 network is no longer available, but this does not apply to the P3 platform.

 

strange, I can't find any factual information other than what I wrote here, Volvo's customer service said.

There are no such service bulletins to cars sold to the European market, atleast not that I've seen.

The last bulletin I believe is in reference to the SOS eCall service error message that needs to be removed to pass inspections etc.

I can assure you Volvo owners in Sweden have been pursuing the circumstances regarding the shutdown of 3G and VOC services to world's end, and If nothing new has come up the last couple of months VOC is slated for termination at the end of 2025.

But the whole thing here would be that if we can change the PHM module from scrab another one. There are PHM Facelift model modules that are 4G. So if this works, we can also upgrade the 3G modems to 4G modems! 👍😎

How to clone Volvo On Call module?

I have a broken Volvo on call module here as I need to clone info to used. Volvo oem wirkshop cant program a used in to car. I have check pcb but cant find any Eeprom or mcu as i known.... Any one as have made this before...

I have a new module from the facelift model. how could I transfer the software to a new used module on the bench?

I just need to find where is IC chip located that has the EEPROM in it. Then i can read the IC chip EEPROM software and write it to the new one!

 

Look into the Swedish forums. There are people who are good at this stuff who have been digging and the current status AFAIK is: No solution.
