Volvo s80 whistle sound

Volvo s80 hissing sound [Video Included]

Hello guys this is my first post on this forum. Recently i bought Volvo s80 D5 2007. The car drives just fine but, while at idle or at smaller speed i can hear a hissing sound whenever i press the gas pedal. The sound is very similar to turbine acceleration sound but i don't think its the turbine. Also i think the noise is louder when the engine is cold. Does any have any similar issues, what could be wrong?

Volvo Whistle

I couldnt hear video very well, but a common whistle noise from these Volvos is the pvc diaphram, in the oil trap, has deteriorated. Try pulling out oil dip stick or removing oil fill cap while engine is running / did the whistling stop? Yes = buy a new oiltrap/pvc assembly and swap it out.

PCV probably bad, check hoses first may just have a bad hose. Loosen the oil filler cap and if noise goes away, that's what it is. My stepsons 07 S40 2.4 was doing the same thing. Don't drive it with excess pressure, you can blow gaskets out from the pressure.
