yes, a friend just got the car from a barn find in pretty rough condition and we did what we could just to get it to start, it started on starter fluid so we knew that it was a fuel problem, after replacing the fuel tank, fuel pump, and running a new line to the engine, we found out that 3 out of the 4 injectors need to be replaced and the whole fuel rail was clogged with old gummed up fuel. i have found out most everything that i need to know with extensive research but i am in need of fuel injectors if anyone knows where i could find some!! thank you!

Did you research here? The Beck Arnly are the most common reasonably priced replacement, but BOSCH are also available, at great expense.

Also look at Ron's website, specifically here.

I believe that the correct Beck Arnley part is 158-0438. The Summit Racking website no longer lists this as a "FIT" for our cars, but some research through the threads can confirm the 158-0438 is the correct part.

Also, Reading through the Threads here, you will find that most all "Barn Finds" require extensive fuel system work to run properly. So your getting there, And Injector replacement is also very common. They can be cleaned if working correctly mechanically and electrically, but sending them off to a professional is usually equal or more expensive than the Beck Arnley replacement option. There is a small basket screen that you can remove, also if you have an ultrasonic cleaner you can try and clean them yourself but still may not deliver the right amount of fuel and sparay pattern.

Tank rebuild or replacement is always required. A lot of guys here have had success with the POR15 tank treatment after de rusting an old tank before putting it back into service.

Joe;

Welcome to this forum!

Scara has covered it well (and thanks for the reference!)...a gummed/rusted FI system is going to need a lot of love before you can expect it to function reliably and without issues...I would say you don't need new injectors, I would say you do need to clean and check your existing injectors! ...and a pressure gauge on the fuel rail so you can determine of you have a fuel feed issues...see link!

Good Hunting!

Two thumbs up on the Beck Arnley 158-0438 injectors. I have been running a set on my B20E since 2016. I flow tested them and they are an exact replacement for the Bosch injectors right down to the offset values. I bought mine from Rock Auto when they cost about $45 Cdn. That ship has sailed; but, they are still cheaper than new or reclaimed Bosch injectors.

As noted, have the fuel tank and hard lines cleaned and replace the rubber lines. A new correct D jet fuel filter is required (do not use the in line generic filters meant for carb equipped engines). No point in gumming up new injectors with fuel from a contaminated fuel system.
