I'm sure you all remember the fantastic Concept XC Coupe - the similarities are obvious:

It was my favourite of the three Volvo concept cars, because of the colors. I'm so excited to see that this is not just a concept anymore!

I'm very interested and will be exploring the possibility of trading up, but I doubt it will work out.

Not sure if anyone noticed, but the seatbacks and seatback pockets are like the XC90 Excellence edition instead of the net like on the standard CC.

$61,495 is base price including destination.
+ $3,200 for B&W
+ $1,650 for Convenience Package
+ $900 for Graphical HUD
+ $450 for Heated Rear Seats
$67,695 Total

I prefer a non-cladded V90 R-Design, but I think this, with the darker interior color (that white is screaming for blue demin stains and such), could sway me...and I'm usually not a white car fan. I actually like the wheels....easy to clean! Time to drive the V60P* over to a dealer and test drive a V90CC again...

There is only one complaint I have about this car: The carbon fibre trim. Wood does always look better, me thinks. Since these are outfitted in Volvo's special vehicle factory, wood trim should actually be doable. I wonder what would happen if I ordered one and asked for wood trim, maybe directly at the factory.

The Carbon Fiber Trim (which is expensive on the R-Designs) seems to be the balancing point on value on US models. This special edition is priced favorably to a V90 CC T6 AWD with Air Suspension, 20" Wheels, Sports Seats (Normally Unavailable), and Carbon Fiber (Normally Unavailable). Without the Carbon Fiber, you're paying a little extra for the other exclusive features.

I noticed last night that the standard features list names the seat extensions "manually adjustable." Is this how the base eats in Euro markets operate, too? And the R-Design seats?

It's not bad, and I like the nod to the XC Coupe Concept, but where's the Ocean Race Blue? Where are the XC90 and XC60 versions? Come on Volvo, don't get lazy here. Hopefully other '18, '18.5 O-R models will appear by year-end, and with a lovely Ocean Race Blue scheme option...............
Agree. When I first saw the announcement about an OR version for 2018 I got somewhat excited. We are seriously looking at "coming back from the dark side" and getting a V90CC to replace our 6yo X3 SUV. That excitement was somewhat dulled when I saw the only colour option that was available. Why bother? Really would like one in an OR blue from years gone-by.

Actually the XC Coupe concept was an extension of the new SPA design language to the compact SUV segment, essentially this was a 3 door XC60 concept. If the Ocean Race Edition is (apparently) limited to only one model this round, Volvo should have chosen the new XC60. Oh, and it would have cost at least $10K less, thus greater appeal.

I still say, where's the Ocean Race Blue?! IMO, this is all very anti-climactic. Is the limited effort by Volvo here, for this round of the Ocean Race, more to do with budget/resources/priorities/time constraints?

If you could purchase it separately at some point it's a bit expensive at $3,250. The black version is only $1,100.

I've tried finding a part number but have been unsuccessful.
