They are available in Canada for 2017 R-Design with the Nappa Leather option including leather dash. But didn't see this option on US build site.

It didn't occur to me when i was spec'ing out the car, but it's turned out that these integrated sunshades are one of the most useful and can't-live-without features on the car.

I really think these should be built-in for every trim level. Not just Inscriptions.

 

They are great to have, the only annoying part about them is the little indention on the door. Every time I see it, I keep thinking someone messed up the door.

 

No pictures - sorry. But our two toddler grandchildren ride in our T8 alot and absolutely love the sunshades. No more complaints about having the bright sun in their eyes.

That was exactly what I was thinking! Although not integrated, I thought the fitment looks better than the integrated ones based on the pictures posted so far. I must say that I like the integrated ones for my BMW F06 - fitment for the whole window is perfect and it is electronically controlled!

 

+1! Thanks SDspeed for those pics! I might order some for next year. I have been using a crude dollar store suction cup curtain that I found. It didn't work well on the coverage aspect.

How do they work with keeping direct sun out of kids eyes? All I need them for is road trips (ours always happen to be north/southbound, so my son gets either morning or evening sun in his window).

They cut down on the heat and reduce sunburn, but keep in mind that they are made of mesh with holes so a certain amount of direct rays still come through. I'm glad we have them and they do help a great deal, but I still might consider installing a darker window tint.

 

Aren't the rear and cargo windows tinted?

 

In direct sun light, it's still pretty bright. Especially for little eyes.

The sunshades are quite helpful if you have kids.

 

Anyone have any other sunshades they use? thinking on biting the bullet for the oem ones, but $150 you can buy a bunch of stick on type ones.

My kids never use them in our genesis. I thought about getting the windows tinted. They rolled the stupid things up and down for a month and now never.

 

Has anyone tried to use any aftermarket sunshades? Seems like the Volvo ones are priced pretty high. I keep coming across a few magnetic snaps on made. One brand (Carwerkz) in particular has a bunch of videos too.
