PERSONALLY, I really go crazy over the Denim Blue/Amber color combination! On pretty much ANY Volvo.

 

Thanks for your input! Sometimes I see it and think man thats a GREAT combo, and other times the white just looks a bit 'fresher' to me and timeless classic with that black interior. Really having a hard time haha (not a bad problem to have!).

I really like the fact that denim/amber is kind of unique to the VOLVOs, where as the white/black is pretty much standard fare on almost every other car - and no cost difference to that option.

Also another small point - but the amber interior comes with BLACK headliner, which I much prefer to the light headliner that comes with the charcoal interior in the crystal white. Not sure why they paired it that way, but thats how it comes I guess.

Denim blue and amber for me too. White and black is a little blah and some of that is because I have two white and black cars in the garage ATM so YMMV.

 

I factory-ordered a beautiful crystal metallic white with the blonde interior. My wife and I love it for many reasons. It makes for beautiful pictures in Sedona and Flagstaff / Grand Canyon. Apologies for XC90 pic.

My next car will likely be Denim unless Magic Blue comes back. I would put at least partial PPF and ceramic coating to help preserve it in AZ sun which I had done on my Crystal White.

If the front bumper holes bother you enough (which they probably would me too), there are plugs or maybe a body shop fix from your savings.

Edit: If it were me, I would be ready for the Denim Blue/Amber with 20". No wrong choice. Either will be great.

 

If you wear jeans, pass on the amber interior. Looks gorgeous new, but high maintenance, IMO.

 

The amber interior wins hands down.

 

I have amber interior and have not had an issue keeping the seats clean at all. I test drove a white xc60 on a rainy day and after looking at the back of the car after a 20 minute drive I remembered why I stopped buying white cars. They look great when clean but don’t stay that way very long if you get some rain.

 

Tough choice. I'd be hard pressed to do a dark interior in AZ. Personally fond of the white/blonde myself but the denim is nice looking and amber every day over charcoal inside. I haven't had the amber but our V70 with blonde interior still looked great when we traded it in after 19 years with minimal maintenance and jeans most of the time.

One of your concerns is the blue looking dated and it will, but the car will be dated too, so it makes no difference. If you wear jeans the dye will transfer to the amber seats and will look dirty. You can clean them but it`s a constant battle.

 

Amber isn't really light enough to show color from jeans. The blonde color might, but not amber.

 

Just finishing my 39 month lease on a denim blue / amber XC90. Seats still look new even though I wear jeans most of the time. I like the color so much am going to replace it with a denim blue / blond XC60.

The white looks pretty but (as does onyx black) but shows dirt easily and both are much more common.

 

I was in a similar dilemma looking at three S60 sedans. I knew which one I liked, but left the decision up to my wife.

Does not matter what we like. Matters what she wants.

As far as the front plate, having lived in a one plate state for a few years, I would put an ornamental plate up front, such as a Swedish plate that can be purchased on Ebay.

 

White is common and boring

 

Amber is gorgeous and denim is the nicest color for the inscription.

 

The blue car looks incredibly Skandi. Even though my own XC60 has the same colours as your white example, I'd still go for the blue.

You might have to stop wearing jeans though. I had a cream leather interior in a previous car and it did take on a blue tinge after a few years.

It's nice to share in the experience of spending someone else's money, and it helps build a nice community feeling... Ultimately, it's always going to be the OP's decision of course.

 

I vote for Denim Blue and Amber!

 

I passed up Crystal White w/ Amber for Denim Blue w/ Blonde. They both looked fantastic in person, but the blue/tan was the same combo as our first V70 and it just felt right. I'd definitely take your blue/amber choice, it has WAY more character than white on black.

 

Do you have any regrets on the blonde?? It is just so light!!! I am worried about staining. only adults and maybe a dog or two in the back But not when it is raining!!

 

Denim Blue/Amber, 100%. It looks so classy and is gorgeous, whereas White/Black is pretty pedestrian imo

 

I have a 18 XC60 T6 Denim Blue. Love the color!!

I love white too but I didn't want to park it next to my Ceramic Metallic MX-5 and make them both look weird.

 

Amber upholstery makes the interior much more airy than charcoal imho.

There is a reason you see so many white cars in Arizona..... the heat and sun. Go with white.

The ride is better on the smaller wheels imo. That was my significant others main concern as well. We had tested larger wheels and she couldn't find one she was happy with. Has not complained with smaller. If you need a vehicle that runs sporty and feels the road get a sports car imo

It will age better than the blue.

 

I love Amber interiors, and that goes double if the linear lime inserts are included. It’s a great combo with Denim Blue. I don’t do white cars, so it would be an easy choice for me.
