Timing Belt or Chain?

I have searched the site and I can't find an answer. I've searched the web and couldn't find an answer. I know it if probably right in front of my nose.

I know the 5 cyl uses a timing belt and the 6 cyl is a timing chain.

What does the 2.0 4 cyl use in a 2015.5 model? I only have 17K on the car, but I would like to know for the future.

If it uses a belt, what is the service interval? I'm coming from a Saab V6 which had to have it changed every 60K and I was very religious about it.

OK, It is not in the owners manual, but in a different manual which didn't come in my car. I found it on line per your suggestions. What is interesting is that for the 4 cyl it says to replace the timing belt tensioner and idler pulley but does not mention the belt itself. The change interval is 150K miles.

I looked on Rock Auto, eeuro parts, partsgeek and there are no timing belt kits for the 4cyl. Only the 5 cyl.

Since the change interval is 150K or 10 years, and there are no replacement kits, I am presuming it is a chain.

What about checking with your local Volvo dealer? I'm sure they have recommended replacement/maintenance suggestions and can possibly use your VIN to double check the suggested servicing for you. And tell you what they would charge!!!
