Summer has finally arrived!
I have a job interview at noon.
My golf game continues to improve.

We're heading to Toronto this weekend for a family get together for my Mom's 80th birthday.

Just hope if I'm offered a new job I can keep my job at the golf course!

- R looks like crap. Army is too cheap to pave our parking lot at work.

-Never ending work that has followed me home every night this week.
-Had to leave work yesterday to pick up my stranded wife and daughter because the truck wouldn't start, truck started when I got there then wife insists it goes to the dealer because she doesn't want to get stuck again which I understand but wasn't prepared when she told me last night that the dealer called said she needed a new battery and the brake fluid needed to be flushed, you guessed it she approved the work and $360.00 later its ready to go. There went the $400 I saved two weeks ago by doing her brakes myself

-Everyone in the house including my 8 week old has been sick with either colds or sinus infections this week.
-Sun burned like a mo fo at Carlise, will never use aerosol sun block again....never

-I hate my current job with a passion, and it really is 'who you know' as my efforts to apply for new jobs over the past few years has lead nowhere. At least I still have a job..? (the grass is always greener). I guess it's time to make my own moves.
-Did not get to meet everyone at Carlisle, especially Helmut. At this point, I am questioning the man's mere existence - some of us speculate that he is really 1800girl's drunk alter-ego.
-Bumper is peeling even more on the "R" from shoddy paintwork by the local dealer - whatever, it'll become their problem.
-Scam artists and lowballers e-mailing me about my Jeep. BUY MY JEEP~!

-It's finally warm (and humid though..)
-Picking up a new (to me) wagon this weekend
-Long weekend (that I'll spend a good amount of time driving - not sure if this is a rant or rave)

It is who you know as well as who knows who you know. Try becoming more active on a social networking site like LinkedIn. Join groups within your profession. Once I had joined I sent messages to the hiring managers for companies I wanted to work for and received responses almost immediately. Now I moderate a professional group on LinkedIn and have received several interview requests and offers in the works.

It's worth a try right?

Sounds fantastic. I've had 2 coffees and 3 diet cokes. it's my birthday weekend, i don't really care.

Spending gobs and gobs of money on 960 and tires.
Going to courthouse to try and get about 1k of it back.
Bosses are in France until June. PITA since get to go into PM role for a week.

Car stuff may be finally done today. A/C in 960 needed yet another hose, but at least they are eating all the labor for me.
Fridays off, and extensive dicking off on tuesday when I "work remotely."
I was right on with my dads 240, the MAF was completely jacked, and the 8 dollar can of cleaner has now made for a very sale-able 1993 240 in red with 100k miles on it. Yippee.

-Beer:
New IPA is promising, has to work its hop flavor out for another week, but definitely a good choice of amber malts.
Kolsch came out nice and light, albeit undercarbonated.
Caramel Ale with Cascade hops brewed yesterday, while working.
Plan is to get as drunk as a fiddlers bitch tonight.

The only thing worse is Warsteiner Lime, a 2.6% beer that tastes like german wine coolers....

Just had a craving for a Ben's Kosher Deli sandwich - being that none are around here, I went to my trusty Wawa and got a Turkey and Roast Beef sandwich with provolone, mayo, mustard, cole slaw, oregano, and parmesan that weighed about as much as a small child. SOOOOOO good.

Tricia, I'm sorry about the beer debacle. I too hide my beers when a "friend" comes over whom I know is one of the unwashed Bud Light masses. It helps that I usually buy beer that bottle conditions so I only pull it out of the closet if I know I am drinking it soon.

I felt guilty when I went to a party a couple weeks ago. I brought an entire gallons worth of mojito makings with fresh mint and all. Another party-goer brought a 12 pack sampler of St. Bernadus. I asked him 4 times if it was alright if I had one and he obliged every time but still I approached the potential faux pas with much trepidation. Upon seeing that his spouse was on her 4th Mojito if figured it was a win for us both. Even so I opted for the Wit Beir.

I think Wawa is dropping some of the older stores that don't fit their newer 'business model' - it's not necessarily all of the ones w/o the gas stations, I think it has to do with store size/layout more than anything. They dropped a cash cow right off of Lehigh's campus (now a Pantry1, meh) because it was on the smaller side.

They've been razing lots and putting up a whole lot of new locations within pretty close proximity of each other, so don't worry, they're still out there

Rants: My girl was fired from work cause her boss refused to talk to a coworker and tell him to watch how he talks to people, so I went to talk to him and he said I threatened his life, he didn't even go through the chain of command just went straight to the corporate office and called the cops, even though video shows no threat whatsoever.

I didn't get the promotion I was waiting for they gave it to someone less qualified, go figure.

Got 2 tickets on the motorcycle yesterday and I have to go to court tuesday for a speeding ticket, might lose license.

R is filthy have to clean it, still 4C problems as well.

And some mexican delivery boy ran into my drivers door with his bike when I opened it , put a ding in it and broke the door stop, had the nerve to tell my buddy that I should give him a hundred bucks for his bike getting messed up, good thing I didn't hear him say that, was too busy trying to close my door.
