The supercharger

 

Doesn't exist on the 23 and the late 22ER. Usually those get their own belt anyway I thought. Good idea though.

 

Profiling a 2023 T8 with that engine in Alldata still lists that engine code as supercharged. That doesn't mean it's 100%, but without the access I used to have, it's all I got.

Do you own a 2023 T8? Take a pic of the belt drive.

 

Awaiting delivery. End of the month. Even then I figure I'll have to pull off 67 plastic covers to get to anything, no? 😆

The new ER T8s don't have superchargers, according to several people who work on them in this forum. This is consistent with all the info/videos I've found the last few months while in the market for a new V60.

 

Yes. The new 23 t8’s have no supercharger or belts. The harmonic damper is just there lonely. The B-series motors still have drive belts for the new set up

 

Interesting. So then they don't actually have a serpentine belt.

 

Which makes sense based on my OP but I swear I found it on a parts list which is what got this whole befuddlement started. Cool.

So electric accessories all around. Toothed timing belt but no Serpentine belt. That tracks. God help me if I have an electrical fault. Bricks the whole car. Cool.
