Thought we could share some mods journey and learnings here. Of course the pre-2014 have some common areas to share too.

Anybody care to share pics of mods n rides?

I'm getting this rolling....
S60T5 FWD 2015 drive E - 8spd Aisin GB, B4202T11 -. Can liberate stock power

I realised I have too long a list of mods to list, so apologies.

No worries, I'll grab a pic of mine later. It's fairly stock though...

Sparco Podio wheels
IPD upper torque mount
Do88 intake pipe
DV+
Full stereo install
Here were some of my old mods before further refining the look pics. Then, the evolving from stock ERST n chrome, then dechromed and then black trims with CF trims look.

Suspension been through stock, RD, Blistein B12 n now P* with ALU adj linkage n rear Cmb kit Chassis stiffen with 4 separate braces, under cover to aid heat Mgmt and top bay liberating heat Mgmt without bonnet vents. Front 3 strut bars and rear a DIY stiffen bar in the boot top.

Did some creative DIY trims all around. See my steering is engraved P*, not sticker, changed center screen, 360, BLIS, curved mirrors with heater, waterfall DRL white blinkers, mirror turn arrows, some useful meters as well Torque OBD display on aftermarket android headunit. Have the old 2013 Garmin set both sides and magnetic shades over mild darken film etc etc, Volvo front lighted sills, protective SS sills front n rear, interior all round carpet protector with Volvo's snow mats, etc etc etc...

Usual DO intercooler n radiator, used the T6 Gruppe M as an airscoop to my DIY SS airbox with open pod HKS etc etc

Basically, each stage of look brought about little bits of Mods.

Power wise, liberated the stock with some poisons and kept my torque over a P* exhaust, which made this a superb drive . Power setup was easy dizzy to liberate.

Excuse me for not listing each as really too long and let some of my old mod pics n today's look to justify the eyes.

I'm looking for ideas and anybody has any poison ideas, a picture will speak a thousand words of my envy....thank u.

U have a pic of the DO88 intake pipe? Yours is drive E 2015 or the intake for T6?

Not sure what is the IPD upper torque mount, any pic?

Yea, I have the DV+ n aftermarket big screen . Yours is full stereo system from Volvo? I have a center dashboard speaker from older model, but I can't fit in unless doing an old school parallel tap to front, so I basically have this center speaker idling at home...[emoji27]

I'll grab some later, I need to check the oil level in the car so will snap a picture then. Mine is a T6, one of the 3.0T engines.

Here is the upper torque mount, I'll grab a picture of it installed on mine later when I have the hood open.

When I say full stereo install, I mean I removed everything Volvo put in there (except the head unit) and replaced it all with aftermarket. You can see details of the build log here:

I may be changing some things soon, my good friend Nick is the owner of Stereo Integrity and has loaned me 3 of his SIQ amplifiers to see if I can fit them. So, at some point the Alpine PDX amplifiers may be coming out and the SIQ amps going in. Not sure yet though, it would be going from 2 amplifiers to 3, which would require considerable changes, not least of which needing to run a much larger gauge power wire from the battery to the trunk.
Ok, 3.0 T6 intake is different, I had inherited this from another bro and basically I can't use this on the ford engines. I still have the T6 metal black cover somewhere at home.

I'm looking for aftermarket intake pipe for 2015 drive E, and DO88 don't seem to make them, I think it's also my engine is rather unique specs, but I reckon B4204T11 will likely have similar intake pipe, though the later models had a 5hp jump on stock.

Great mod job on sound system, u are a music fan. I gave up now on these, as find the mid grade sound system good enough.

The IPD mount, is likely different for drive E, I found it fits my drive E......oooooooooo...

I recall I have a downpipe for your model sitting at home as well as heico rear box muffler. Pity u are so far away.

Great stuff, hope we have more who can share their mods poisons ....need to get infected again real soon...[emoji23]

The stock Volvo system was pretty good, one of the main reasons I swapped it all out was because I already had all the equipment from my old car. If not for that, I may have left it all stock.

Funny, I have been thinking about a downpipe lately.
I have an aftermarket extra large screen unit and the sound seems good enough. Yea, with stuff from previous poisons, it's a pity to put it away.

Your beast needs the downpipe, but you need to have aftermarket tuner to get the best out of it. Assume u have an aftermarket exhaust, as needed to harness every pony n torque...throw in upgraded turbo, the beast will be an animal u cannot forget...

When I said 3, I meant 3 pages typed… View attachment 141223

by no means an extensive list…
Doesn’t include the front/rear Wilwood big brakes, EBC rotors, new (modified) do88 intake pipe, ProMeth SniperII delivery system etc.

But yeah, wheels and a few body mods, which aren’t listed either….
Still waiting to see “your, too big to list….list). Lay it on us big fella… View attachment 141226

I see now you meant 3 pages of full descriptions .....good for your C30 and you are enjoying your mod journey. Initially thought it was a S60 P3.

It's a pity it is a different DNA cars.

Thanks for sharing. [emoji106]

Mine is pretty stock compared to the cars in this thread, but i have added the following:

Polestar Accessory Catback exhaust
Polestar Accessory Air Filter
Polestar Tune

XC60 Twin Piston Brakes with 328mm discs
Porterfield Pads
Stainless Steel Lines

H&R Lowering Springs
IPD Rear Sway Bar
(this is on top of the standard R Design suspension, front strut bar etc)

R Design Grille (debadged)
Polestar Rear Diffuser
Debadged tailgate
LED Bulbs
Tinted Windows

R Design Pedals
Volvo genuine steering wheel with paddle shifters
Sensus Navigation
View attachment 141309
Great stuff!

P* accessories and learn that paddles may not be std for your V60.

The IPD sway bar, works well? I opted a rear brace instead to hold with stock and seems to do nicely.

U might consider to replace the stabiliser link with adjustable type as front lowered and a rear camber for the rear. Found a reduction of 10mm helped with the front sway bar under height.

I'm looking for a front adjustable "positive" camber kit, could only find "more negative" and anybody who can help, is much appreciated

I'm on brembo GT6 380mm floating discs and looking for a good rear with inbuilt hand brake n think they are pretty exp now.

The drive E engine is pretty starved of air, and I opted a DIY SS open cave with HKS and the stock air ram pretty good feeder.

Thanks for sharing!

I have only just started my journey and the mods on Restless’ beast has made me embarrassed to post lol.

So far started with a 2015 S60 T6 (3L 6Cyl) RD:
Fitted 20” Hussla Jacques (Tinted Bronze);
Rolled the arches as I also went a little wider for stance and drive feel;
Painted Callipers (until I can get Heico ones on);
Heico DP about to go on (probs by Feb 22);
Heico Catback w/race Cat about to go on (probs by Feb 22);
Heico Rear Diffuser (Piano Black) about to go on (probs by Feb 22);
Heico quad tips about to go on (probs by Feb 22);
I will do a serious aftermarket Harman Kardon Sound (aftermarket amplifier);
2 x 12” woofers in boot (Competition Kickers);
Sequential side mirror indicators smoked out;
Smoked out rear brake lights;

Plenty more mods to go after the above are done like brakes, intercooler, suspension and body kit (but I do not have those yet so no point in me talking lol.

So not quite poison but definitely venomous (ish)?

Will def add more pics as the work goes on.
Lovely poisoned....[emoji23]

Great stuff. I'm not keen on rolling fenders, so kudos to you in getting the wide ones.

What size tyres 245? Rim offset? Think with 20', even with rear camber kit, u probably still need to roll fenders.

So u going for Heico. I have a down pipe and Heico cat back sitting at home somewhere for the T6, pity I'm so far away...

Sequential smoked out indicators include DRL white too? I have done this too to match my anti glare blue tint curve mirrors and CF covers.

Great stuff, update your journey ...[emoji106]

Section width of tyres are 255, I decided to keep the wheels the same size all around (a tactical decision to make rotation quicker, easier and cheaper).

I was tempted to go a camber kit but decided against it as I would only have wanted a very minor almost indistinguishable camber in any event and even then, only to avoid rubbing. However rolling the fendersfixed that issue without requiring camber.

I opted to keep the smoked out sequential mirror indicators on mine yellow, but white would look equally nice though.

Thanks for the though re your Heico Catback [emoji3] It looks like I will soon have an RD DP and a Polestar Catback sitting in my garage soon for some lucky person.
Nice ride and smoked out!

The indicators r yellow, waterfall type but has white DRL on, so it looks really good at nite.

I have tinted extra wide mirrors and indicator too.

Hope this poison your venom to be....

Ooh wow that is nice. I like that.

what numbers are your beast pushing out at the dyno?

What is the max torque and max HP that your beast can achieve right now? (If you don’t mind me asking)
Hi hi, my mirrors are also heated, signal indicator and wide angle n blue tint anti glare. I was first to customized this and this poison became rampage with local bros too.

Power is classified...[emoji23]. Let's say problem with wheel spin and acceleration is faster than stock. [emoji23]. The physical turbo is a limit and wondering anybody has resolved this besides improving the propeller n bearings.

I'm quite happy with power, and unfortunately, there are legal issues to what else can be done...however, found initial power liberation was not too difficult.

Lol the only things I can think of would be a larger turbo, a custom supercharger or both. However that the transmission would have to change to handle that much power (unless it is a true Polestar or unless the only thing stock is the shell right).

Your car is intriguing. We are also awaiting on Heico Sportiv AU to reveal a little more about their new secret project (which involves a P3 S60 T6 Polestar).
There are a few modules offered now for drive E, like Heico etc. The T6 P*, will be intriguing.

Yours is drive E 3.0? Or the ford engine base 3.0? Easier to replace the turbo in the ford base engine over the drive E.

If so older model T6, your GB should be the higher version and should be able to handle the upgraded power. Putting in a supercharger, may mean u need a separate ECM to manage this.

The journey ahead will be interesting for u...

Stay tuned, every small step, is closer to the designated power dream...

Mine is not the drive E 3.0 however it has been Polestar tuned by the factory. Unfortunately for me it is a 6Cyl RD and not a true 6Cyl P* but not complaining because once I am done playing around with this car, it should have torque and power that surpasses even a true P*, proper poison then lol.

It won’t be cheap, but I truely want to make this beauty into a rocket with wheels (even though I have no intention to race it [emoji23]).
Ok, the ford based T6 3.0 to stage 2, is indeed an animal with outputs 400++.

P* tuned is the package n generally helps in the refinement area, especially for drive E, with some blah blah hp n torque goes up to 400nm. Recalled Heico claims 420 - 440nm, a little strange as the Aisin GB is rated in that range....[emoji848]

U might consider some braces to stiffen up, I recall Volvo has 3 types of chassis, as yours RD should already be sports Chassis, but different markets, they could change the specs.

Your model has more toys, so
U will need DV+, if the DO stuffs goes in, it helps with the hold n pull.

Fun days ahead for you... The ford base n drive E are completely different drive n behaves differently on power deliveries

Thanks for the list of poisons Restless. I am now eying a sway bar upgrade kit (front & Back) to upgrade away from the stock RD ones I have in now.

Any recommendations? Polestar? IPD? Etc…
Hi William H,

Assuming no underbraces, u will have to choose between the thickness ie diameters (assuming same materials used) n check if the bars have a reinforcement ie not true cycliner type. There are some reinforced inside, so this will affect the stiffness n rebound n also why diameters did not enlarge.

As for brands, generally, materials are similar mild steel type, so, if colour turns u on, else, IPD might be best price value ratio. It's up to your bigger plans of what undies colours u would like to compliment the setup...[emoji23]
