That looks pretty sweet. What was the time frame and cost for something like that? Might think about doing something like that with mine in the future.

 

Just shy of $700 and 4-6 days lead time. Had to send it from California to Maryland. Stored at the Volvo dealership since they removed the wheel for me.

 

You could also slap on a junkyard wheel to tide you over. It's not super hard to pull one of these yourself. I swapped one out in about an hour, and I'm slow.

VIDA also says you're supposed to replace the bolt. I don't think the torque spec (40nm on a V70, if I recall) isn't enough to stretch it, so it may just be about making sure it's got the right thread locker on it. Either way, the bolts are just a few bucks from the parts department.

I don’t want to mess with the airbags, and I also have a great relationship with the techs at Volvo. They did it for free for me and let me store it there.

 

That came out nice - really tasteful IMHO. Some of the ones out there are a little too over the top for me.

 

Looks good. Although you could get the Polestar Alcantara wheel with the blue stitching for about that same price. I kinda like the way the Alcantara is done as a section on this though versus the Polestar wheel have it as the inner ring.

 

I wanted to go with the Polestar wheel that you mentioned, but mine is not heated, so Viva said that it would not be compatible. And the Heico no longer is made so I really didn’t have a whole lot of options.
