Ohhhh , so Filter aren't Designed for 12K or longer , what little Plug for Taking Oil Samples to have those Tested . . ?

A few Oz.'s like 2 are Enough to Soak Media - so there is No Time Lag . . If some are seeing or Hearing this . .

Yes, We Under stand - My Low Oil Light Comes on with too Much Age on Oil or Little to Low , like Early with 3.2 & Holds 7.5 qts . .
Now If Your Someone that Loves Old Way of Doing things - I Believe that there is a Way to Do That . . seen Info somewhere like 10yrs ago . .

Anyhow - here are Other Reasons to Consider when Moving Away from Factory Spec. Oil Weight - ( Looking at Tuned or Turbo ) Oil Temps & Weights or Viscosity Effect
OIL PRESSURE that Effects - Life of Components & Life of Oil - Itself . .

Test Clearly Show this all in Graph : Only Wish They had also Plotted 5W-20 & 5W-30 but Lines may have been to Close . .

If Pressure is Lower @ Higher Temperature & RPM's say like a Tuned T6 then - Engines Cooling Ability is Hampered in Critical Area's - ( Oil Squirters ) Bearings

Oil's Ability to Hold @ Higher Temps for Turbo Motors is More Important . .

0~16W even Now , but Yes Chart is from Red-Line Testing - Hence Red Line Oils ( I'd Ask Red_Line ) as to Engine Used . . It had to be More Modern If Using 0W-20 . .
Many Oil Companies Today do Their Own Testing & Will Disclose said Testing !
But
If You do Not Recall in Past Most Older Engines Manufacturing Facilities - Were NOT Holding +/_ .0002 as Modern Machining Age of Digital came to Be
HONDA & Others - were 8-10yrs Out Front in so many Area's - WAY - Ahead of Oil Companies even .. so Older Manufacture were only Holding .0015

JUST SAYING THERE IS MORE THEN WHAT MEETS EYE - when moving to an Oil weight & Properties - that - Different then Manufacture Recommendations . .
