In a nutshell:

1995 850 T5. 5spd manual conversion, RN swap (2002 2.3L) 19t, full charcoal interior swap. Catless 3" DP and Jetex exhaust, front and rear P2 R brake conversion. The car that started Snabb and actually my first Volvo!

It's bittersweet to see her go but it's time that she found a new home. I'm looking for someone who will take care of her and bring her up to her full potential.

Price is $7,800 I had a much higher number in my head after the unbelievable amount of time and money that has gone into this car over the last couple years and beyond BUT the reality is she's a 21 year old car and has flaws.

How I would rate the car:

Interior cosmetic and functionality 9 out of 10

Exterior cosmetic 8 out of 10

Mechanical 9 out of 10

You guys know the deal with this wagon. It's the first Volvo I ever bought and in preparation for my first manual swap it is ultimately the reason that Snabb Performance Parts got started. Without this car it would never have happened. When I bought this car there were no intake pipes or short shifters available for these cars. A lot has changed since then and, not to be too sentimental, all good things must come to an end. My hope is that perhaps the next owner will take it to another level just like Taras and Matt have done with the other Snabb mobiles. For me the era of the white 850 estate has come to an end, I have too many cars and too many projects being juggled to keep this one going.

She's a great car and is by far my most reliable Volvo every owned. There's very little that would need to be done to her aside from regular maintenance. The biggest thing is the body which could use a good repaint but she's 21 years old so I think it comes with the territory.

ENGINE

October 2016 Dyno'd at 267 hp at the wheels, 318 torque at the wheels

Currently the motor has 117,000 miles. The original mileage of the car is unknown because the odometer didn't work when I bought it 8 years ago. The motor is out of a 2002 C70. When I bought the motor it had 87K miles and installed it a 4-5 years ago. I really lucked out on the motor. it's in amazing shape, has no carbon, runs like a top and doesn't leak anything or burn almost any oil. I've run royal purple ever since the motor swap . The motor probably goes through 1/2 quart max in 3-4K miles and honestly that's more likely from the turbo on cold starts than anything else.

Transmission out of a 97 GLT R clutch, currently using Royal Purple trans fluid

The engine and transmission have been well taken care of but it's a northeast car so it's not perfect.

CAR COMES WITH 2 TUNES-IMPORTANT READ DISCLAIMER!

TUNE 1: Ard 4.3 Blue tune for 19t, manual, green injectors and stock MAF. This tune is not the one the I normally use but it does work well. The car is just not setup for it. Some simple changes can make it work which would involve the following ( changing back to stock MAF, disconnecting vac/boost line to ECU, disconnecting rear O2 sensor connector, and adjusting/ fine tuning wastegate to control boost onset)

TUNE 2: Buest 4.4 tune for 19t, manual, green injectors, Big MAF, full data logging with wideband, boost pressure sensor, and WMI control if desired. Good tune and very dialed in thanks to Aarons very hard and persistant work **BUT with this tune the car has a CEL for adaptive idle trims that is always there**. The car idles fine and the tune is right on so the only annoying part is the light. I prefer using the 4.4 tune and want to retain the knock light feature so I live with the light. It really doesn't make any difference to the car. It's a 95 with no CAT anyway.

Ultimately if you don't want the light on you can pull it or switch tunes.

Other stuff:

There is water injection installed but the car doesn't really need it so it's not hooked up right now. Aaron wanted me to remove the variable controller and wire it in directly to the ECU which I haven't gotten to and again the intercooler does it's job so I don't see a need for it unless you got to a bigger turbo. The ECU is setup for it by the way it just would need the variable controller removed, a relay wired in and put the hoses back in.

The worst of the cosmetic problems, It has it's share of dings scratches and rust spots in the paint. All of which have been addressed as best as I can over the years but please know this is NOT a flawless showcar, it is a sometimes daily driven car with a ton of money time and love put into it.

Chip in windshield. It's small and has been there for 6 years without getting worse so I don't see it ever being a problem.

Temp guage on the gauge cluster drops out of service sometimes. The ECU still knows the temp so it's just a gauge issue, possibly the temp sensory gauge motor.

Also comes with some extras that I haven't had time to put in including, new subframe bushings, inserts and bolts, new upper strut mounts, and I'm changing out the front brakes pads due to shutter from the pad that happens at low speeds sometimes.
