98 V70 XC.

Does anyone have computer software that will allow you to use a laptop and OBDII adapter to communicate with the ECU and change or tune settings? I have the USB-to-OBDII cable already, just need some software. I'd like to be able to do some tuning myself, along with resetting the service light.

Theres's actually a huge article that was done back in 2013 on tuning the me4.4.

Check this out.

I've actually been looking into it more in depth lately. Hoping to get a test ECU soon from the junk yard to give it a shot.

I have a 98XC also with a few bolt on mods.
19t, boost controller, 3" catless exhaust, reverse intercooler piping, R injectors, silicone hoses, SAS delete, etc...

Just needing methanol and a tune to make it worth the mods [emoji16]

Thanks, that's extremely helpful. And the software they recommend is actually free! Bonus!

I'm not going crazy with upgrades, just want to adjust a few things to make it run better. I might add some performance mods sometime down the road, but for now a reliable daily is mostly what I'm after. I plan on changing the suspension for better handling and ride quality before doing much to the engine beyond what I've already done to make it run correctly.
