We have a bunch of silver dawns in stock as of last week... honestly it's not a color to look at in a photo... can look very different in different lighting conditions. I don't care for it myself. I think it's a nice old lady color. But you have to see it in person in sunlight to determine if you like it.

 

I’m not sure what you mean by an old lady color. In pictures it looks silver or white depending on lighting. I’m trying to decide on a color for my order of a V60 CC which has to have a blond interior. Which color looks best in your opinion? Right now I have Ice White with blond which I like but frankly I’m getting tired of white cars. I’ve had many!
also resale or trade in value is important to me. Thought?

Thank you so much for your insight and illuminating review of the three color choices I had in mind. I think you’re right. As of now, my build is crystal white with blond interior. I like the brown leather but find the dark wood clashes with it. Black interiors are a hard no for me. I’ve had way too many and they are too dark especially in Canada where the winters keep the mood dark for months.
i had considered the thunder gray but am afraid it won’t age well and may just be a fad color.Like you I find the bright dusk May appear too pink and the silver is just…meh.
I suppose I’ll stick to my first choice of white on blond and put my order in. Already have the allocation.
Now choosing the wheels! lol

I love silver Dawn, reminds me of the silver Aston Martin James Bond had in the final no time to die movie. A timeless color and I want to order a new s60 just for that 😭 mine is red now and it’s fine but it feels it doesn’t feel unique. Silver Dawn isn’t just another silver car I love how it changes and in certain light is a very clean light grey. It’s all around a incredible color to my tastes.

 

FWIW here is the Silver Dawn on an XC60 which has replaced both the regular silver and Birch Light Metallic on the XC90 for 2023. For comparison you can see a portion of my Birch Light XC90 in the same photo.

 

Thanks for the pic. It seems to have a tint of green to it. I don’t hate it. Just so hard to imagine on the v60

 

Maybe just visit a couple of dealerships. I was just perusing the inventory for my local dealer and they have multiple examples of all of these colors on the lot.

After looking at the pics I'd go for Silver Dawn. Bright Dusk looks a little too gold for me.

 

None of the Bright Dusk arrived in Canada near me yet. i do t mind a little champagne tint to the paint

Silver Dawn is new on 23 models replacing Bright Silver (only the xC60 got it last year for the 22MY)

 

What do you think of it? Between that and crystal white. I have I e white now and I’d prefer that to crystal

 

So much detailed color analysis in this thread. Why didn't you guys consider Thunder Gray? We really liked that color, just subjectively and picked it for our MY23 XC90 order. We already have new white and black cars, so wanted something different. And a lighter gray was a natural choice b/c darker grays look similar to black.

Yeah, I found it odd that on the same line (on our factory tour in April of 2022) we saw Fusion Red XC60s but (at least for the US Market) no Fusion Red XC90s. Both vehicles share the same paint shop so there really is no excuse for not expanding the available color choices to at least offer US customers what the factory is equipped to provide.
