Seat comfort

I have a wonky back and constant cervical problems (car accident when I was young). Seating is supper important to me, and why I chose the XC60 over vehicles I felt were as good or even better (X3, Q5). Just took my XC60 on a 2,000 mile drive across the Utah national parks (Bryce, Zion,Capitol Reef). Each day, I got out of the car with my back feeling better than before the long drives.

I know seating is an individual issue, and I do have a more expensive trim (Inscription with the 4 way lumbar) but, wow! These seats came through.

I'll be leasing another Volvo when the current lease is up.

I love Inscription seats. Not so much the R-Design ones (the thigh support). Somehow the raised up lips of the thigh support really ram into my thigh and it hurts... (and I'm barely 150lbs).
So for the next Volvo, it'll be an Inscription most likely.

Totally agree with you. I wanted the R-design because I love the bursting blue color. However, I had the similar issues with the seats. The upper bolstering, I did not mind. the bottom bolsters made me pinch my legs together and wound up causing pain in the sides of my leg. I opted for the inscription to avoid the unpleasant seats of the R-design.

I'm with you. LOVE the way the R-Design seats hold me. I found the ventilation very noisy with the Inscription's luxury seats.

I don't think the Momentum and Inscription seats are all that different. I think the main issue is that the lumbar adjustment is not four way on the momentum.

The comparison I was talking about was between the momentum seats and the standard inscription seats. Very similar except the absence of the four way lumbar.

The luxury package adds perforated leather, ventilation, and sharable side bolsters. But, the overall feel is true same as the base inscription same momentum seats

I was comparing the momentum seats to the Inscription seats on the XC90's. Sorry, I was not reading into it fully. I think the XC90's are night and day, but the XC60 doesn't seem to have much difference.

I just returned a loaner XC90. The inscription seats were very similar to my XC60. I've actually had all levels of the xc90 seats too

I do think the abscence of the four way lumbar makes a very big difference (at least for me - seating is so personal) but that's the only big difference I've seen.

The seat cushion extender and the side bolsters seem to make a huge difference for me. I had a loaner XC90 T8 Momentum with the standard seats. Comfortable, yes. But I don't think I could ever settle for the standard seats after spending so much time with the Inscription seats.

If the side bolsters move in your car than you don't have the base inscription seats, you have the Inscription luxury package seats.

However, I can't deny the idea that features that seem small to some of us (like the seat cushion extender) can be huge for some drivers. Seats are a super personal thing- everybody has different needs.

Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder---but in this case it would be in another body part.

Looks like we have same color combo and vehicle just a year apart (2020).

I frickin' love that maroon brown interior. Lukewarm on the pine gray. I sometimes wish I had Denim blue.

I think the momentum seats are probably super comfy for some, with little to improvement for the inscription seats. The inscription seats have upgrades that are really important for MY creaky body (the four way lumbar,in particular). However if the lumbar is already where your want it, and the seat extension is not useful for your frame, then the momentum and inscription seats are essentially the same.
