Hello, fresh and happy owner of S80 3.2 here

I recently found out on the volvo website that the auxiliary heater can be changed to park heating with timer by a software modification.
How do I know if my car has this heater?
I have a relatively low level of equipment.
I have vida, but can't find nothing like auxillary heater or else (still beginner).

If not, is it hard to retrofit this heater?

Sorry for my english, not my first language :) Cheers

There are also Volvo petrol vehicles that have the auxiliary/parking heater..
If your S80 is equipped with it?
See on the right hand side behind the front wheel, there should be a small exhaust pipe visible… and check your dash , when turning the rotary on the left side steering switch, timers or direct start will pop up in the display.
Can be retrofitted, need a lot of parts, or remove from a car at the breakers and additional software . When not present in your car, remove paravan/plastic under wiperarm rh side, see if there is a free big connector present, if not, needs all the wiring to be mounted yourself. A lot of work, if the connector is there, lucky, only need ton install all the parts: fuellines, fuelpump, heater, coolant hoses, exhaust pipe etc….
Also it it possible to plug in a remote control, uses the same connector as the heater unit.

Hi, I have webasto from factory, 3.2 and I want to add 4G relay to be able to start webasto anytime. Can you share which cables/pins are used to start/stop webasto? If remote is steering, then only remote cables if you have diagram or any info which cables are responsible for which signal.

I saw that 1 guy connected relay output to start/stop button of the timer and it works without any other modification

if you have part number it will also be helpful, my friend has Vida, so I will try to get more info

Thanks for the replies!
Sadly, there is no timer when I'm turning rotary on the left side. Ignition off, 1st position, it does not matter.
Afternoon, I'll check underwheel for exhaust pipe.
I have no puller, so removing wipers gonna be pain, but still, there is no succes without trying.

Some petrol engines do have parking heaters, yes (as does mine) but they are programmed as parking heaters from start and not auxiliary heaters. The reason being petrol engines don't need auxiliary heaters.

Volvo uses a device from Webasto for remote start of the heater, Telestart T91(R), but for mobile start you need another Webasto device, Thermocall TC4 but it's 3G. There is no 4G solution readily available.
