S60R vs S60 R Design

I'd love to hear from someone who has/had a R and now has a R-design. I love my 2006 S60 R; it goes like a rocket, and I can't think of much I'd rather do than have the suspension in advanced, the transmission in sport, and a deserted highway with lots of curves. But I'm putting money into it, it has 65K on it, and I'm wondering if I'll regret letting it go, until something really better comes out. Does the Polestar software even it up? Does China impact the possibilities of a comparable R experience? (limited interior choices, etc). Appreciate any feedback, thanks.

Will you miss her if you let her go? Probably.

Will you regret it? Probably not.

The new S60 is a sportier car than the old S60. While reviewers still favor the A4 and 3-series, almost every review of the new S60 I've seen has been 90% praise and 10% nitpicking. The nitpicking is always something comparing it to the A4 and 3-series options, and is never something the old S60 had that the new does not. Having driven both S60 T6 (with dynamic suspension, not R-design) and the old S60 R and having no emotional attachment to either, I would very quickly pick the new S60 T6 over the old S60 R. Unfortunately, I haven't owned either so can't give you the emotionally-invested opinion. ;)
