Kind of a luke-warm review in this months Road and track -
"The sports-car enthusiast will enjoy driving the C70 about as much as an S40, but how much fun is a two ton front wheel drive coupe going to be?"
And then in the end they contridict this in the end:
"practical without sacrificing fun"
I'm not sure how to take this, since I liked driving the S40 T-5, but since the C70 is so much heavier than the S40, they must have been talking about the S40 2.4 as being the same as the C70 in terms of driving fun.
- hard to find 5th in manual (as in my V70R, you get used to it but your wife does not)
- better ride than S40 due to extra weight (which I take to mean softer ride)
- not as agile as it looks
- got rid of old C70 cowl shake, top up or down
- OK space, more than A4 or 3-series
- Vulcaflex is very cool material, cross between leather and neoprene
- good safety
