Replacement Roof Cost Canada

When I brought my 2004 C70 convertible out of storage and asked my mechanic to prepare it for the spring, I was told that it was time to replace or repair the roof as it was starting to wear through in several locations and showing its age. I have started looking for a new roof and found numerous websites of dubious reputation. My local, trusted installer has quoted $4800 CAN for a new roof, installation, and taxes.

Is the price quoted reasonable? It seems high. The replacement roof is Sonnenland® Classic German Cloth. Will I need to have the roof re-calibrated following the installation? Unfortunately, I have not found any dealer in the Toronto area with the tools necessary to re-calibrate the roof.

I would appreciate any advice forum members might be able to provide with regard to a reputable seller of replacement convertible tops for the C70. Also, recommendations for reputable installers in the Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge/Guelph Ontario, Canada area would also be appreciated.

If anyone reading this is in my area and willing to tackle the replacement, drop me a note.

quietlymknnoise Thanks for taking the time to provide some suggestions. I checked Tasca and the cost of the roof was $2,299.05 US ($3081.62 CAN plus shipping, duties, and taxes). That makes the $4800 CAN all in quoted by the local installer seem like a bargain! I was unable to find any listing for Lisle Online.

I will have to replace mine on my 2004... I found an installer at "Ange-Gardien, Quebec".... His quote was 2900.00 CND$ ...

I have a friend who gave me another contact in his list... A professional installer, now retired, but making still few tops every year... His speciality is more with the Mustang an the Sebring, but apparently do some Volvo too... He live in Sherbrooke QC

I had to have the top replaced on my old '02 when the back window blew out. Only had to pay the deductible for an auto glass claim, so I got a whole new top installed for $150.

Volvo brand top costs ~$2100 US... and that's just the part.
All the headliners are crap at this point, too, so they need replacing.
I called around when my window came out (I ignored our stealership) and most quoted Robbins tops with labor ~$2k.
We have quite a few dedicated top shops here in KC...
I glued it back in...several times now. Top is otherwise good and doesn't leak, and while it doesn't look new it doesn't look like garbage.
Seems every year or 2 I have to glue another little section back onto the glass...
