Is there a list somewhere that shows the differences between Pure mode and Hybrid mode?

It reduces Air Conditioning, and raises the point where it changes over to the ICE.

The manual is very vague about what the differences really are between Pure and Hybrid.

As others have noted - the most evident difference I see is that when accelerating in Pure mode for me it rarely ever kicks in the ICE - that point is moved up and the way I drive it is easy to stay all electric.

If you have the air suspension ... pure will lower the chassis as well.

The manual indicates some systems are shut down to save battery power. To be honest - I have not been able to tell there's any difference with the air conditioning - we had 95F / 35C today and the car was very comfortable. (I did do pre-conditioning for 10 minutes before taking it on the road.)

Also remember: when you do have a situation where the ICE is started ... the first time it is started it will run for a while before it turns off. (And the vehicle will use ICE for propulsion during this period.) That will degrade your economy rating.

I've mentioned this in other threads, but my experience has been that even though the point where the ICE fires moves up in the display, the actual difference for throttle input isn't much, if anything. To me it feels more like the "tach" just increases the scale/resolution. I actually find it pretty challenging to stay in electric, especially on the freeway, as the trip point dips down during acceleration. I really wish the car would stay in pure electric mode longer and allow me to max out the electric motor output without tripping the ICE. It's hard to keep an eye on the "tach" and feather the throttle while also negotiating the on ramp and trying merge safely on the freeway.

Although I do not know for sure, it seems that the generator kicks in by releasing the brake pedal in PURE mode without having the gear selector in B position. I may be all wet on that point but it seems that PURE mode attempts to re-generate more often while also conserving. I concur with rpmccormick that climate/AC does not seem to degrade in PURE mode.

Someday soon, I am going to build a chart. ;)
