Power steering fluit Pentosin CHF 202 vs 11S in cold weather

So I was missing a bit of power steering fluid. Notice that CHfF11S is now replaced by CHF202 which is supposed to be thicker in cold weather.

Initial impression after adding about 250ml. Had some strange fluctuations in power required to turn wheels, but only when cold. Like there were hard points/spikes.

So I went ahead and replaced progressively the whole remaining CHF11S that was in there from factory with a full can (1L) of the newer 202... "Hardsl spikes" are gone, but wow does the steering feel heavy when cold. Much better when warmed up, but still stiffer than previously.

Anyone had similar experience with the new fluid?

Driving in Canadian winter conditions (-10C this morning). Car is a 2.5T 2006.

11S is full synthetic, and does seem to be a little less viscous than 202

Saw those numbers too on Pentosin's site regarding cold viscosity being lower. I was expecting some more weight in the steering, but on my car, after the swap in fluid, it almost feels like on subzero weather the power steering is almost gone. Pump turns fine, fluid levels are good, no squeal or anything. It becomes much more similar to the 11S once all is warmed up, but wow, I'm surprised if this is all normal that Volvo considers it the "1:1" replacement for the older CHF 11S in their cars.

Did you experience a similar change in feel too?

Or maybe it is my steering rack's way of telling me it plans to die soon?
