Thank you so much! Really enjoy this little mod!
I've purchased my car second hand and unfortunately it was not always looked after as it should. I've gotten pretty much everything back to where it needs to be. I do have a concern around the left tail pipe amd the adjoining sections of the box, looks to me as if there is a lot of unnecessary rust as well as the tip seems to be 'splitting'
Anyone else have these issues?
Many thanks

Unfortunately, that seems to be a common fault.
Won't be replaced under warranty in Europe. :(

I just had same issue in Toronto Canada. Volvo replaced the tips only under warranty but the shop got the spacing wrong - the tips are now more inset into the bumper and you can barely see the "polestar" lettering without hunching down. When I first got it back, 1 was correct, other was too short....the fixed it by making both of them too short, but at least I got new tips.

Can you please find out and let us know which catalogue part number for the tips did they use?

Reviving old thread for troubleshooting. I recently purchased my second ‘16 T6 P* (another story for another time) and noticed the exhaust was a bit rowdier than the last one. When I got it home I noticed that a previous owner had disconnected the wires at the valves - not in the trunk. I reconnected them in hopes of restoring stock functionality, I don’t think I’ve been successful.

Couple things to note, at cold start it seems to be quite loud but most of the exhaust is coming out of the left side. Gets quiet after 30-60 seconds.

I don’t notice a significant change when in sport or drive.

Is there a way to tell visually if the valves are open or closed?

If you use a flashlight, you can see the valve on the left side exhaust. You can't see the valve on the right side straight on though.

The valves are open when you start the car up and is idle. They close once you increase speed slowly in normal drive mode.

The Polestar manual cites the behaviour of the exhaust valves.

I was told that there is a chance the valves fail after this modification. Can anyone please give me some insight and share any sources?

Thanks,
So mine has 53K miles on it, and I left the valves unplugged many times, often for 6+ months in a row, and they still work fine today.
