Would like to keep the exterior theme as white and blue. Thought?

I think there's a few of us with white R Designs that are thinking along the same theme... I'd rather have an actual 4-6 piston BBK that I could powder coat Polestar blue but apparently that might be too big an ask given the lack of BBK options at the moment.

I say go for it, paint the callipers and put an end to the complaints and showcase some mods.:thumbup:

 

Inspired by a recent thread about discussing something other than complaints, I thought I would ask something that's been on my mind:

Is anyone aware of caliper paint that matches the blue of the polestar badge? I have a crystal white xc90; do you think it would look good?

The plan is:
- get polestar (therefore polestar badge at the back)
- paint calipers with the same color
- get a polestar badge for the front grill like what the real polestar models have

Would like to keep the exterior theme as white and blue. Thought?

I wouldn't do blue for the factory calipers.

Also, keep in mind that the front Polestar is only sold with the complete front Grille assembly, so it's essentially a $400 emblem upgrade....

 

That's completely wrong. The blue grill emblem can be purchased online as a standalone item. And it looks awesome on my white R-Design.

 

Personally I think the XC90's brake calipers look very small, especially the rears. So painting them a color that attracts attention to them looks a little "boy racer" to me....it accentuates the small calipers. I would want a BBK if I were going with a bright caliper paint.

Personally I would paint them black, it gives a more refined look but doesn't say "look at me!"...because the stock calipers aren't much to look at LOL.

 

I painted my R calipers in Polestar matched blue from G2. They happened to have some for sale in the "previous mixed custom colors" section. Looking on their website, looks like they have Rebel Blue in stock right now, which is pretty close. http://www.g2usa.com/category/Volvo-Custom-Colors.html

I had an 850 R debadged - but found a"speedwagon" to put on. Love to put that on my V90 T6 R Polestar - anyone seen that badge anywhere/
