“Load compensation
For loading or unloading a car that involves an average change in height over the rear axle of 10 mm, a compensation of the air suspen￾sion system is triggered in order to return to normal height.
Park mode
As soon as the car has been stopped and switched off (usage mode has been changed from Driving to Inactive) the air suspension will
adjust the height above the rear axle upwards by 10 mm. This takes place so that the car looks "right" when stationary. The process is not
stopped if a door is opened since the suspension is only adjusted upwards. The opposite adjustment takes place while driving.” from VIDA.

I've tested it and can confirm that the rear lowers by around 10mm when starting the car. It then fully levels with the ride height at the front.

@rem0018 : Thank you so much for the info. Is there some info in VIDA whether the "park mode" (i.e. the raise) can be deactivated?

"If anyone is wondering if their car actually has the air suspension, just go to your settings screen under Parking Brake and Suspension. If there is an option to turn it off, you have it! (You should turn it off when jacking it up and/or being towed) "

 

Just ordered my 2021 V90 CC. Is the air suspension worth? What are the benefits/disadvantages?

 

It stiffens the suspension in "dynamic" mode which is handy for sportier driving or generally at higher speeds and softens it in "comfort" mode which is great for bumpy roads.

Sorry I’m late to the party but Ill leave these here anyhow.

The rear can be much higher and lower than stock.

I made my Individual mode to have the suspension in Eco mode which drops the rear about 2” when I put it in that mode.

You can make it go lower by shortening the ride height sensor arm on the rear so it will think it’s higher than it actually is thus lowering the rear even more.

You can get lowering springs for the front to level out the rake if you cut the sensor rods.

It depends on the day but she can get low low in the back

@MvI_S60R - Thanks for the photos! Your car looks great and seems to sit at just the "right" ride height. Awesome! I didn't think this was possible with the 4c suspension.

Also like the spacers (or is it just the offset of the wheels you drive?). It makes the car look the way it was meant to look in the first place.

So, do you use a "shortened height sensor" or just set the suspension to Eco mode? I've never heard about the option of changing the sensor. Can you tell me a bit more? Is it a DIY job?

Really want to tweak my S90 to give it the look of your V90's ride height and track width.

You called it yeah it's just +35mm offset wheels.

I haven't messed with the rods yet no but I know the XC60 and 90 guys (and gals) do because they have air on all four corners.

There was a company that made them with a threaded body to adjust the height and they can just replace them and instantly have a slammed SUV. That was the only reason why I would have went with a XC60 instead of the V90, but I think I made the right decision.

Some day yeah I plan to get front springs from Viva then a pair of adjustable rods from that company (I feel like I have amnesia I can't remember the name)
