I have been going crazy trying to find out more information about the personal car communicator (PCC). Can these be purchased separately? Can they be installed in older Volvos or other brand of cars? If not, is there an alternative?

Re: Personal Car Communicator (PCC) Wanted (Brasil66)
Welcome to Swedespeed, Jonah.
The Volvo PCC works specifically with the S80 as an option and is programmed by the dealer at installation. It can be made to function correctly in S80 models beginning with 2007.
Other Volvo models available with this feature since 2007/8 include the 70 and 40 series along with the XC60.
The Volvo PCC is not compatable with non-Volvo cars but Ford has a similar option built into a fancy key fob.
