Hi guys. I have a v60 2019 here which is damage repaired. It’s 95% done. Issue I’m having is park assist doesn’t work, plugged it with v dash and the PAM is showing as red and I guess that means it’s offline?

I did repair one parking sensor on the car and re wired the plug as one ripped off in the collision, I was thinking it could be a fuse but there is no fuse for the parking Assist as far as I can see.

Any advice? I am looking to get it plugged up to Vida at some point but just want to make sure all the little broken things are sorted.

So just to clarify the automatic parking function is not working and also the front andback parking sensors, however the cameras do.

I had the exact same issue, changing the support battery fixed it.

Hi. If it was a specific sensor wouldn’t Vida tell me so? For example “front left inner” Or “rear right outer” etc ? For this reason I’m doubting it’s a sensor.

my car has 6 front snd 4 rear I think, if it’s a case of checking each sensor it’s going to be a long and costly process!!

Update. I removed the front left outer most sensor (the one by the wheel arch) this is the one that I brought brand new and replaced. Re scanned with v dash and the code has disappeared !!

message on dash has now changed to park assist UNAVAILABLE , service required (before was TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE)

to confirm my suspicions I re inserted the sensor and removed the second one and the error came back and did not clear, so the issue is definitely happening from around the first sensor.

I had an old bmw sensor lying around which is exactly the same style as that one so I tried that and it came back with the original error.

could It be possible that it’s the wrong part number causing this? I’m pretty sure it was the correct sensor I ordered originally.

part number 32209364
If someone could double check it’s the right sensor I’m happy to share my vin as I don’t have access to Vida anymore.

At this point, you can check the voltage and current goes to each sensor, and see if it is normal. Also the voltage on the loom when disconnected. If the power wire doesn't have the right voltage, then it could be anywhere from the loom to the controller module.
