I should have gotten a photo, but I was driving at the time. I was passed by a blue V70XC or XC70, blue bumper trim, with a Pennsylvania "Classic" registration plate near Mechanicsburg, PA. Classic plate?! Oh, it was a clean car, but to condemn such a wonderful utility machine to only occasional hobby use....

Recently joined the V70 Club. I had a V50 T5 AWD a few years ago, great car but it lost its battle with rust so I sold it on. We just had our 2nd and after shuffling our cars around, my wife settled on an XC40 and I sourced this gem to serve as a 2nd vehicle in our household. The used car market is crazy, I had about 10-12k to spend but everything in that price range has 150000kms at minimum and is at least 10 years old. So I looked abroad and found this:

2006 - V70 Ocean Race. Japanese Import with 67000kms. N/A Auto. Its on the slow boat over to Canada as we speak and should arrive in a couple weeks.

No immediate plans, I will probably chuck on some T5 Swaybars and springs to get it sitting proper and probably one of those Android Auto head units.

I love the Ocean Blue on the outside.
It's just such a beautiful color on a V.

The blue on the interior trim is a different story.
Bit tacky in my eyes, but i would definitely have no trouble to forgive Volvo for that.

My p2 rear subframe-project is finally coming to it's finishing stage.
The pictures should become part of the car's web diary, but that's still in development.

My JDM V70 Ocean Race finally arrived today. I need some documents translated and an appraisal and we are ready for the road. Its filthy but seems to be in really good shape with just a couple scuffs. The underside is absolutely flawless.
